This time for the Pelosi clan to the tune of $745,000,000, Pelosi's brother in Law is #2 man at the firm. 45 jobs will be created and of course much of the equipmnt is going to be sourced from overseas.

There is probably more to this story, just like the Solyndra Story.. Jim Hopf is proud that you just followed along. If Harry saw Hopf he would call him a diddler.

You never got back to the facts about the Solundra Post..

Maybe Issa can convene another pig circus..

Call this a whole bunch of right wing lies.. Ron Pelosi is not the president of this company, sounds like another right wing viral email...

    Umm...

I don't see a claim that he is the President of the company. Then again, it is not clear that an "Executive Director" is the #2 person.

On the PCG site his position is unclear:

Pacific Corporate Group, A Leader in the Private Equity Industry since 1979, La Jolla, California

It's interesting - the original link supplied says this:

The Obama Administration is giving $737 million to a Tonopah Solar, a subsidiary of California-based SolarReserve. PCG is an investment partner with SolarReserve. Nancy Pelosi’s brother-in-law happens to be the number two man at PCG.

But if you click on the link embedded in Nancy Pelosi's brother in law that article states this:

It is unclear what Pelosi’s ties are to Bower, or what his exact role will be at the firm. His only other listed PCG affiliation is as a member of the board of trustees of a 1998 fund of funds controlled by the firm.

    How Did Nancy Pelosi

So which is it? Is he the "Number 2 Man," or is his position unknown?

His job at PCG could just be "Nancy Pelosi's brother-in-law"...kind of like Michelle Obama's position as "VP of Community and External Affairs" which was so necessary to the hospital that they didn't replace her.

supreme lol @ yet another dumb, partisan post pretending it's just Obama who's destroying the economy. As if the privatize-everything cons have nothing to do with it all.

Step aside, Jimmy Carter. There's a new worst-president-ever coming through.

Far from the worst, next to GB jr he's one of the best ever.....That guy was hands down the worst ever! and he will be remembered as such...

I didn't like him much either but he was ahead of his time, imagine if we would of listened to him about energy! We would all have solar power in all our homes are cars would run on it as well and we would not be paying almost $5.00 a gallon in gas distorting our earth in the process.

On energy alone, he was one of the better Prez's as for the other stuff he could of been a lot better imo. Obama is not that bad, he's just a flake and won't stand up for what's right, just like all the others he worries about what others think rather then doing what he knows is right. Sometimes it takes a bigger man to stand up against the status qua and do what's best even though some people might not understand. If he would be more in the middle and not out to please his base and the other base, I think he would be in a way better position atm. Its not always about the voter, the voter is what got us all into this mess, sometimes the minority is better then siding with the majority.

You seem like a very angry person, maybe you should cool your jets a little and get a grip on reality. Not everything is so black and white.;)

His resume would indicate that he is much more than that..

Interestingly this loan was approved on 19 May, maybe Hopf and Breitbart were asleep at the wheel... that seems to be quite a gap in how they disseminate their lies...

Even the New York Times reported it then..

Maybe so, but PCG does not make it clear what his role is. In fact, I thought you were implying that he had little role in all of this in your initial post...

There is a reason the government shouldn't try to act as venture capitalist. If there was a money making opportunity the VC's would be lining up to invest and make money.

If a fund makes $$$ the partners make money the spinning is getting pathetic.

Funny all the coincidences of supporters and relatives just happen to be involved in multiple projects that are getting taxpayer $$$$.

Of course there is a lot more pay to play going on in these companies that need taxpayer subsidies to make it.

Then there are the 2mi/job projects we are funding:

So no comment on the facts that Pelosi's Bro in Law was involved in this venture??? And that Jim Hopf essentially lied..

    Deflection...
