We used to lead the league in fewest % of dropped passes back during our championship years. Since 2005 we have been average or below average in our receivers and tight ends with their hands.

Thomas' bonehead play at the end, which killed our drive, would never have happened under a more disciplined OC, who would have addressed this long ago and over and over in practice.

The quick burning of timeouts, and the draw play on 3rd and 16, are more symptoms of completely average to moronic offensive play calling, not to mention disorganization and lack of attention to detail.

Belichick gives both of his coordinators tons of leeway, always has. Look at how different our defenses have looked under Romeo Crennel, Mangini, and now Pees. Same thing applies to McDaniels. The guy calls plays like he's playing a Madden video game, the same 5 predictable things over and over. The attention to detail, especially on hands/catching, has really gone downhill the past few years.

It was almost as if the Pats didn't want to try and score points tonight.

    Bizarre!

I have never seen Belichick be afraid to go for it on 4 & 1 inside the 10!

LOL! McDaniels calls a good game and the usual subjects continue to bash McDaniels for anything they can. So now it is McDaniels' fault for Thomas' penalty and Gaffney's drop.

Considering the offense has had two penalties in two and a half games, does that get credited to McDaniels then? The Pats are still on pace to have the fewest penalties by any team in decades. But that goes to the players and Belichick, right?

Irational bashing of McDaniels is indicative of poor message board posting.

There is sloppiness in the offense which is attributed to the tolerance of the OC for these mistakes.

Not just this game but in general, there is a lack of attention towards hands/catching that goes all the way back to 05 or 06.

The Coaches know Cassel can't execute every play in the book that's explains the play calling. McDaniels is very good and i have no probs with him.

Yeah, the lack of penalties the last two game is depressing. Why isn't McDaniels calling more false starts and illegal procedures like a good coach should?

The Pats barely dropped a ball last year. In 2006, Reche Caldwell dropped one pass the entire regular season. Stop it with the BS assertions. Hands/catching has not been a problem with this team prior to this year other than individual games. Well other than Ben Watson.
