How do you look at the losses yesterday by the Pats and Packers in terms of which was worse as a fan to endure?...

Was it better to get annihilated early and resort your thinking that the season was definately over by the end of the first quarter like we were? or to be teased like the Packers were by having as big of a deficit as New England had at 24-7 only to storm back then lose in overtime?.

I think it was less of a heartache to lose like we did because we knew it was over before halftime and were already looking to the draft by the third quarter.

It is more of a heartache to lose like the packers did.

Of course, there is a different reaction for us. We can look at this game and understand that we just weren't good enough to go on. We will never know if the reason was that Brady and Moss were playing with serious injuries (as I suspect).

I agree with you. The what-ifs from 2007 still haunt me if I think about them (and I try not to). I won't be haunted by yesterday's game.

    No Jersey Selected

I prefer the blowout, myself. Losing those last second heartbreakers like the Super Bowl, 06 AFCCG, or OT against the Jets last year; is just gut wrenching and sleep depriving...going over the "what if?" 's and key moments over and over again.

I swear to God, the night of the Super Bowl every time I closed my eyes I saw Buress catching that TD or Tyree's helmet catch. It was terrible.

    The way the Packers lost.

    No question.

I still can't go more than a few days without thinking of either SB42 or the 06 AFCCG and getting pissed off upon the thought. I'm not going to lose any sleep over last nite's game. We lost, we weren't good enough to win.

Even from my own limited personal experiences in athletics (which consists of high school), I can say that the games that you should've won and lost are the ones that stick with you. The ones where you are beat fair & square, where you simply didn't have it, or weren't talented enough - you just move on.

Both are pretty bad. The way the Pats lost is frustrating since they didn't even show up until it was too late. The Pats knew what the Ravens were going to do and they had no way to stop them. That is worse than getting out schemed. It was frustrating to watch because I could tell what the Ravens were doing and knew what the Pats needed to do to stop them and they either didn't do it or not well enough.

What happened to the Packers is bad because you knew one or two plays and the Packers advance. Their hopes are brought up only to be dashed.

In the short term it is a killer to lose how the Pack did - a sporting event that can make you feel physically ill if you are a fan of that team.

In the longer term, I think GB fans will feel better about the quality of their team going into the off-season than Pats fans will based on the beatdown the Ravens came in and laid on the Pats.

If we had the pack lose we will be

    --4 tremendous quality WR

--OL was good to block for ever

--Running game is all set for the future

We have to work on the defence alot or rookies.

If that OL was so good,it would not have lost the game for the Pack by letting Dansby loose in OT.

Wasn't Rodgers one of the most sacked QBs in the league this season?

How do you think Bills fans felt in 1991 when that Bills FG just missed to the left?

That to me was the most heartbreaking loss in NFL history...at least the Pats still had a chance to win after the Tyree Catch.

I'd rather my team lose like the Packers did- fighting back from a deficit, giving everything you have, and ultimately coming up just a little short. At least you'd be able to be proud of your team, despite the loss.

There's no justice in the NFL. Samuel misses a game winning SB interception
only to go on and get a huge contract. No justice. ;)

His question was what would have happened if the pats scored 45 pts and lost. You telling me the OL blocked bad for all those big games.

The offense put up 45 points. Hard to argue that the offensive line was a problem.

We lost that "Any Given Sunday" game. Brady and the team have had days like this before, just never in the playoffs. It's a game any team can have and I believe Cincy had a similar one on Saturday night.

GB was poised to win, only to have Rogers kick the ball right to the defender. That's sudden and deflating.

Definitely the way the Packers lost. We didn't show up yesterday. We got beat in every facet of the game. The Pack lost in heartbreaking fashion. The demons from 07 still haunt me. I refuse to talk about that game and still have not watched any highlights from it.

The Pack loss was more like our loss to Indy this year, which really stung me and hit me hard. Our loss to the Ravens was more like our loss to the Saints. We got our doors blown off.

I find it much harder to cope with the last second losses than the blowouts because in the blowouts there is no hope of coming back. When you are in a close game all your emotions are being worn on your sleeve and it's either a great burst of enjoyment when you win or a devastating sinking feeling when you come up short.

Sometimes when you have receivers that are ALL quality at least one or two of them can get open sooner than later and make up for the deficit of a less than good OL..The Packers OL would look alot worse if the Packers had so-so receivers like we had yesterday,Rodgers was able to dump off passes rather easily with the talent they have at the position.

Someone beat me over the head again when I think about it that we were one move away from getting Jennings over Jackson in the draft

The Packers fought till the end and had a chance. The Patriots laid down and never had a prayer. Now ask again which way you think people would choose.

It is much harder for me to watch a game like the Pats lost yesterday (excruciating int he moment) but way easier to put it behind me than would have been the case if we lost like the Packers had. Especially because of the non-call on the face mask the Packers had. While I was rooting for Az, I know I would have found it tough to take if it were my team involved and that the loss would effect me for days if not weeks. I had trouble sleeping for days after the losses to Denver in 05, Indie in 06, and Giants in 07 playoffs. I slept like a baby last nite and don't imagine tonite will be any different.
