It's shocking to me that Pete Carroll left USC to coach the Seahawks. Something tells me that the grass will not be greener on the other side in this case. In college, he's a hall of fame level coach. In the NFL he's JAG / below average.

I agree, I'm really surprised that Carroll would want to go back to the NFL. He seemed to have it made at USC, and appeared to be a much better fit as a college coach than as an NFL coach. I suppose the lure of the challenge, to prove the doubters wrong was too tempting. Not surprised to see Mora fired but I am a little surprised that Seattle felt Carroll will do better in the NFL this time.
