I know they are fun but was anyone even close

Seriously?

Next year Im throwing this top 100 stuff out the door .. its all about connections for the Pats

I had Patrick Chung nailed for Rodney's replacement at SS but at 58 NOT, I repeat NOT at 34!

The rest of my picks were abysmally off the mark....

BB'd! Again...........

i know the feeling. i two was BB'd:eek:

Of th top four I wish picsk, I had Chung and Brace as two of them. I also had a develomental LOT, Beatty as my third wish pick. BB had the choice of Beatty and Volmer, both developmental players and Volmer as a LOT. he chose Volmer anwho Ineverheard of. IBBIT.

My only wish pick unfullfiled was one of the three ILBs. Bill ignored them all; and reapeatedly. Butler is a good pick too.

We could have picked Oher, ReyM, Barwin, Gilbert, Brinkley, Beatty etc etc and we didnt

In fact nearly all the names on most everyone's wish boards and the ones who looked good for the Pats when you read the rationale's here and everywhere else

Looks to me like BB goes with recommendations from who he trusts and wont ever pick anyone from USC :)

The last couple of days provided a slew of WTF moments, as much as I admire the work of all of the mock draft folks.. who could've figured this one out.. it was humorous when a couple of the picks came up, NFLN did not not have info on them...

I originally had Wells falling to Arizona, but was talked into changing that. :ugh:

Chung might have been there at 40, but I never expected Butler to so it's a wash. I prefered the versatility of Delmas & I thought they'd be looking to upgrade the interior OL.

I had 2 picks - Vollmer and Butler. I also had BB picking up a 2010 2nd rounder by flipping a 2009 pick.

Day two and BB was way off the grid. In my next life, I want to be the Pats scout for Hawaii. Talk about loving your job!!!!!!!!

On Thursday, my mock included the following....

1. Stafford: When Curry said that he thought they would sign Stafford, I lost all doubt about the pick. It didn't hurt that he had meet with the owner and the owner was reported to like the young QB.

2. Jason Smith: Reports of Monroe going here had me split, but the knee concerns of Monroe and the obvious need at OT made Smith the clear choice.

3. Tyson Jackson: I had no doubt in my mind. The only thing that could change this pick was the ability to trade down and no other team wanted the third pick in the draft.

(...)

7. Darius Heyward-Bey: The whole Maclin talk was analyst trying to infuse logic to the Raiders pick. Look at forty times and it is completely obvious they DHB would be the pick.

(...)

9. BJ Raji: GB going with the 34 defense and being without much to put on the field. Raji is the keystone for the new defense. If he fails, the defense will fail.

(...)

14. Malcom Jenkins: Figured that either the Saints would take him here or NE would trade to the spot to take him. Either way, he wasn't going past 14.

(...)

17. Josh Freeman: Thought he would go to the Jets here and that Sanchez would go in the top 10 via some sort of trade. Ironically, Freeman goes in the Jets spot, but to the Bucs. Alls the same.

7 correct picks if you look at the spot the player is selected, not the specific team, regardless of spot. If we disregard the spot, I had Butler going to the Patriots making it eight correct picks.

Oh yeah I forget I hit on Malcolm Jenkins to the Saints as well. :)

Who had the JEST moving up to take Sanchez? Most of the mocks I saw had them moving up to get Freeman ahead of Tampa Bay?

Bakes had a great mock....

I don't have the talent or patience to do a full 1 or 2 rd mock.... Never mind 7!

I just try to guess who, what positions the Pats might be targeting at their slots.....

It's an exciting weekend all and all.....

This forum makes it 150% more entertaining!

You would be wasting your time to do a seven rounder, no? I mean, a few trades will happen and teams will go in a different direction early. You end up with a ton of misses.
