I agree with Jaworski. Saints rush 3 and get pressure.... Saints' (rookie) DBs did great, but I'm sure, given a couple more moments, the Pats would disect them. The O-line failed to give those moments.
As for the other points Kontra brings up -- Defense: I tip my cap to the Saints. Maybe ~no~ defense could've held up last night. I think our defense can and will improve, so I say better luck next time.
I cannot claim to know the level of detail required for game planning to comment on Playcalling. But given the talent we have in the passing game, I say it comes down to execution in the face of the unexpected. To pick apart the Saints' defense, all we needed the OLine to hold up against a 3-man rush, and they didn't. That rankles me much, much more than the defensive performance.
