    I noticed the same.

It was mostly all dink and dunk for Denver, while Seattle seemed to make big plays in the passing game. Wilson was throwing lasers out there.

    Mannings arm looked tired.

Without even reading the article yet, I could tell you what went wrong for Denver: they signed Peyton Manning in the 2012 offseason in hope of winning a Super Bowl.

    Everything.

But Peter King is incapable of writing a one-word article.

    Edit: Actually, that was Bedard.

    :agree:

Another case of "Dan Snyder Syndrome". Trying to buy a championship.

On a related note, I understand that Peyton now has a new phone plan he's offering. It costs a fortune, and after one ring the service drops out.

That's what happens when you look at the stats and disregard the BIG game failures - and they started LONG before the NFL.

I thought they went to the short game, those bubble screens, after PM got so heavily pressured the first two series. Classic strategy but it didn't really work. And I agree, arm looked very tired, so many wobbly passes. Also, writers I follow on Twitter kept mentioning open receivers Manning wasn't seeing, or at least throwing to.

So I wasn't crazy when I saw the excessive use of bubble screen and short hight percentage throw by Manning. A younger Manning would attack their secondary deep with reggie Wayne or Marvin Harrison.

I think you are onto something Kontra. The VaGiants should have signed Peyton in 2012 as their regular season quarterback and sat him for Eli in the playoffs. That would have made for a great tandem!

    Fun Fact:

Tim Tebow has a higher postseason winning percentage than does Peyton Manning.

I can't decide whether I like Richard Sherman, or just really hate the Broncos. :p

    What went wrong for Denver?

They showed up. IMHO, the Seattle team that showed up least was at least 20 points better than any AFC team. Maybe someone could have made it close than 20, maybe not.

Peyton Manning lead teams can't handle adversity. It's the same thing that's been going wrong since the beginning.

The Seahawks are on record as saying the Broncos quit near the half. The offensive line stopped firing off and the WRs stopped working through the jostling and routes.

    Why did that happen?

So much of the myth of the Broncos rests on Peyton Manning's shoulders.

What did the Bronco players see?

    1. Omaha only fooled the Broncos: 2 points
    2. The defense stopped Marshall Lynch and held SEA to field goals.
    3. Peyton got scared and through a horrendous INT
    4. Peyton was hit hard and created a pick-6.
    5. Welker throwing his hands up when open.

They saw the myth deflate, and the giant whooshing sound you heard was the fight leaving the Broncos.

    It's because of Peyton.

I'm convinced the game would have gone down to the wire if Peyton didn't make so many first quarter mistakes, and I think that, while the Seahawks front 4 had a lot to do with it, the decisions to throw those balls were Peyton's bad decisions, and no one else's.

The Broncos lost faith in Peyton Manning. That is the real story of the game.

Last night reminded me of a joke from early in Elway's playoff career. How many Bronco's does it take to change a tire? One, but if it's a blowout, the whole team shows up.....
