the Jewish mourning tradition is to have the funeral, bury the loved one immediately, then go back to the house to "sit shiva". That's like a wake only without the body...and it lasts 5-7 days.

Both Kraft and Randy are both very emotional guys. It is not inconceivable, perhaps even likely, that in that highly charged moment that they talked about Randy retiring as a Patriot. But it was more like 2 guys talking about "would haves, couldn't haves, should haves, and what might have beens", than any kind of business offer.

Pretty much the usual from our media. Taking a thread of truth then putting their OWN spin on it and reporting it as fact. :rolleyes:

And if it happened at all it could well be along the lines of the always family theme in that Kraft had hoped Randy would retire as a Patriot and maybe still could on one of those one day deals...which are not the same as being offered an actual contract to play...

I would certainly agree with this.
