Michael Rogers, the activist who's correctly outed a number of in the closet gay conservative politicians, is meeting with a lawyer today about releasing some ... titillating information.

First, some info on Michael Rogers:

His information? Apparently yet another Republican politician who has routinely voted and lobbied against gay rights, Senator Lindsey Graham, may in fact be a self-hating homosexual. While it's certainly not a surprise to most, this time Rogers has some proof in the form of photos of a man who spent the night at Graham's house. Will it be enough to finally out Graham? I'm not sure, but Rogers has a pretty strong track record.

Here's some examples of Graham's positions with respect to gay rights:

    Lindsey Graham on Civil Rights

Michael Rogers (MichaelRogersDC) on Twitter So, what does the PF have to say about this? Muckraking or doing yeoman's work for justice?

I've been saying this about Graham for a while. That he should just come out of the closet already.

I have always gotten the impression he might be gay ... not that it matters but it's obvious. If a politician is gay like so what ... probably less than 1% of America really cares ... but the ones who cover it up with gay hate are the most supreme of azzholes.

False Christians, false gay, false religious ... is anybody out there somewhat roughly who we think they are?

I disagree with him on almost all of those, but does his being gay change anything? I mean, if anything it indicates that he is willing to live with the restrictions he is promoting, no?

It would make him a liar, at the very least.

What did he lie about? Is sexual preference part of the oath of office now?

He said he's not gay. Sexual preference shouldn't have anything to do with public office, but people who vote for you tend to prefer that you're being honest with them. And, of course, there's the whole Uncle Tom angle, and the political opportunism angle, and the hypocrite angle, and the exploitation angle....

Maybe he hangs out with Ted Haggard.

I'd say that recent history teaches us that they can't tell the difference.

I am shocked that any of those things happen in Washington. Shocked! :p

Used to follow the Mike Rogers Blog.. but he got stale..

The Log Cabin Republicans will be happy about this one, the GOTP will be less so.. prepare for the onslaught of the extreme religious nutz.. either that or a massive effort to discredit Rogers...

Ms. Lindsey Graham will play right into the hands of some of the posters here..

America loves Homosexuals, he's nuts if he doesn't come out of the closet also then when he attends those big political dinners he can dance with Barney Frank and nobody will laugh at him.

Conservatives want Graham gone due to his RINO positions.

If he's said he's not gay then sure, you could call him a liar. I'd guess his excuse would be that he felt he might no get elected if he said he wasn't straight. I know a congressman from MA who might be in a similar situation. Anyhow, assuming he is gay, which I think he is, his voting record would be irrelevent. Being gay doesn't certify that you will vote a specific way.

He may be a lot of things, but just because he is not part of the GOTP does not make him a RINO... on the scale is way more right than left.

Unless the GOP has assumed the cloak of the Tea Party.. maybe I missed the memo..

Trust me he is a RINO, sponsors Cap N Trade, wants Gitmo closed civilain trials for lawyers, pushing last administration to nominate judges acceptable to C Schumer (Gang of 14). No thanks.

I don't care who he takes showers with. Get him out and replace him with a J De Mint conservative.

IT may be irrelevant to his positions as a legislator, but brings up a lot of questions about him as a person if, say, he's gay but votes for a constitutional ban on gay marriage. To me that is analogous to a black congressman voting for Jim Crow laws. It may not undermine his position on the issue, but it sure makes me question what's going on in his head.

My thought was: either he is suffering from self-loathing or he is really committed to those positions (regardless of potential personal cost).

I agree, but I think the latter would require the former.

I disagree. Just because you're gay, it doesn't mean you automatically support gay marraige. I'm sure there are some gay individuals who are perfectly fine with civil unions. Some are simply seeking the same legal privileges that a marriage or union provide. Obviously the vast majority probably support gay marriage, but it's not a given. My point here isn't to say that Lindsey Graham isn't a hypocrite, liar, loser, fraud, whatever... It's simply that I find it unfair to determine that someone would think otherwise than they've stated, simply because their sexuality is different than what's been known.

BTW, Jim Crow laws? C'mon now.

I see, so when someone doesn't think along the lines that you think, something must clearly be going wrong inside his head. Maybe those people could all just die soon or something.

To you, that makes him a "rhino?" That's all it takes with you Grover Norquist types? Way to cast him out when the news breaks. I'll bet Graham and you are aligned on 80-90% of the issues.

Gosh, who's left anymore for you guys? You keep dividing your own base and casting people out, seems every other month. Do you have enough bodies around to win a general election anymore?

    LOL. Wow. De Mint.

    We've got a live one.
