hearing on mike and mike...says the pats were classless ..they are patriots so will get away with it..
"asks" if the patriots were well coached yesterday ?..everyone said genius will stop greatness and he did not...
he seems to have a dislike for BB for some reason

ya i saw that.... and then mike of "mike and mike" said "that game was handed to the patriots"..... maybe partly, but the pats had to make plays too and did alot to hang in there and outlast the chargers.

Ditka should be ashamed for slanderous statements. I can't think of a glaring coach mistake by the pats yesterday.

he just seemed to be going out of the way to slam the pats and BB...he also made comments on his dressing sense before...and he thought marty coached the game good enough..obviously he knows a lot about coaching i guess..

He's a Marty ball-washer so take it with a grain of salt.

did he mention marty wasting a timeout by challenging an obvious fumble? my friend delighted in that saying "he's really going to wish he still had that timeout at the end of the game."

Mike Ditka put in the Fridge to score against the Pats in SB XX... there is some real class.

Surprising comment from Ditka until you remember that he's a Marty boy.

He said "PERCEIVE BRILLANCE DOESN"T STOPS GREATNESS".. Um I'm sorry but didn't we beat the reigning MVP winner 4 times??? Lets see:

    1. Peyton (co mvp)
    2. Steve Mcnair (co mvp)
    3. Warner (2001)
    3. LT (2006)

So his statement is totally wrong... We've beat # 1 seeds more than once.. And beat 4 MVP"s..

DITKA = DOPE.. Amazing how someone won 1 superbowl still has this credit..

Pats won because they played it tight and made less mental errors.. There is a reason why they hung around.. They play 60 minutes.

He is just afraid of the Pats blowing out the Bears -- or the Saints for that matter -- in the Super Bowl.

BTW, he admits Marty is his good buddy, golf buddy, etc.

    Ditka on BB:

"Perception is genius, reality is not genius."

    Wanker.

You have to be a moron to claim that BB didn't outcoach Marty.

wasn't peyton co-mvp in '03 and mvp in '04? that makes 5 mvps beaten in 4 playoffs. that's hard to do.

Putting a DT on the field to score while leaving one of the best RBs of all time on the bench......class.

Recording a video about how your team will win the SB in the middle of the playoffs.....class.

What is funny is that Ditka had much positive to say about NE before the game. I really do want to see footage of what NE was doing because since when is mimicing a signature dance so outrageous?

Mike Ditka is borderline retarded. The man doesn't deserve his own thread.

And, while doing so, he prevented the greatest Bear player of all time, Walter Payton, from getting a super bowl touchdown. 46 points and NO TD for Sweetness. That's probably the biggest oversight by a coach in any sport, ever. I wish someone would ask him about that one.

I thought Ditka was quite "classless" in his comments, not to mention INCONSISTENT. He claimed San Diego is the "better team" but the Patriots were not well coached which makes no sense. He called the Patriots players "childish" for mocking Merriman, but apparently Merriman isn't "childish" for mocking DURING a game, nor is LT "classless" for his cheapshot at Belichick. He also implied that Belichick is not a great coach although Belichick has coached teams generally regarded as "not the better team" to three SuperBowls. By the way, one of his named "great coaches" is Don Shula, who won less SuperBowls than Belichick. Of course, the fraudulent "journalists", Mike & Mike, didn't bother to ask him why he doesn't consider Belichick, who has won three SBs, a great coach. Rather, they just cackled like two drunk Bears fans. Don't know which is worse...sports journalism or the news media.

Thanks to a couple of posters pointing out couple factual errors (what I get for trusting the media, is Bill just the only one to do it in this era???). Point still remains though..

I was watching this noticing neither announcer challenging him. Surprising when one is a Jets fan.
Has anyone team been more obnoxious than the '85 Bears?

Has any coach under achieved more than Ditka with that Bears team? All of that talent and never in back in a SB.

    #12 Jersey

This is what is ticking me off .. All of the sudden the Pats and Bill Belichick are Clasless.. Just because media is sick of covering the Pats.. But again the focus should be on the game , not this nonsense because the Chargers are cry baby's ....
