I think it's pretty clear Meriweather bumps the receiver before the ball gets there

(link)Actions that do not constitute pass interference include but are not limited to:
(a) Incidental contact by a defender’s hands, arms, or body when both players are competing for the ball, or neither player is looking for the ball. If there is any question whether contact is incidental, the ruling shall be no interference.
(b) Inadvertent tangling of feet when both players are playing the ball or neither player is playing the ball.
(c) Contact that would normally be considered pass interference, but the pass is clearly uncatchable by the involved players.
(d) Laying a hand on a receiver that does not restrict the receiver in an attempt to make a play on the ball.
(e) Contact by a defender who has gained position on a receiver in an attempt to catch the ball.

You can't really see it from the NFL link, but I thought I remember that Meriweather cuts down in front of the receiver's path and bumped him before the pass got there. Pretty simple call, particularly since Meriweather wasn't in a good position to make the catch.
Saw it the same way but somehow knew the zebras would do something to give the Squeeler's a break. Hope we don't get that same terrible call next week. Justice was served by them missing the field goal though!
Wrong......meriweather ran right through him to get to the ball....the defender cannot initiate contact that way before the ball gets there
I am surprised at the volume of commentary here. It was a clear pass interference call last night and is so today. Merriweather pushes off with his right arm denying Wallace from having a chance to make a play on the ball.
When you watch that clip, there is NO WAY that BM committed pass interference. He beat the receiver to the spot by a step, and the receiver runs into him. Clear as clear can be. At first I thought "no call" would have been the best ruling, but now I think it was offensive PI.
Speaking of bad calls, how about when Chung hammered the WR at the end of the 1st qtr short of the 1st down, and when they come back after commercial, Pitt has a 1st and 10?

It also seems clear that Meriweather is turned and facing the ball. He is clearly in better position and is actively making a play on the ball. That being said, I had this pegged for category (e):

Is this not the case?
