Meriweather Cleared as A Suspect in March Shooting
By: Ian Logue

Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald reported on Friday that Patriots safety Brandon Meriweather is no longer being investigated as a suspect in a shooting that took place back in his home town back in February....

Nice to get that over and done with before the season gets under way.

Great news. Hope this guy reverts back to 09 form and gets his head on straight.

He dodged that bullet.

Evidently not as exciting as when he was suspected.

Anyone who paid attention to the story knew that he would be cleared. the whole thing was blown out of proportion by local reporters hoping to gain creds and web hits by taking that whole "New England Patriots Hate/Cheat/Bullies" myth and running with it.

Meriweather is no longer a suspect in summer shooting..

Aside from an incredibly poorly worded article, it appears that Brandon is in the clear for now..

Isn't failing to cooperate with the police, obstruction of justice???..

Anyways apparently he is cleared, should resurrect the old thread where he was found guilty and awaiting sentencing on PatsFans.com.. but no need.

BostonHerald.com - Blogs: Rap Sheet» Blog Archive » Breaking: Patriots S Brandon Meriweather no longer considered a suspect in shooting case

Patriots safety Brandon Meriweather has finally seen his name cleared in a shooting case from this past offseason.

Merweather is “not considered a suspect” in the shooting that took place in March in Florida, Jeff Williamson, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department’s public information office told The Herald moments ago.

But the shooting is subject to reopening pending more information. Interestingly, Meriweather “declined” to discuss what he saw with police, Williamson said, and police believe he was at the party in question. They see him as a “potential” witness. If something more comes up, officials will reopen the case, but Williamson said the “active investigation is winding down.”
