Re: Mega-Speculation/Rumor on another WR trade thread

which WR around the league are in their last yrs of their contracts ? that would make a logical target..

Re: Shefter and Mort both think no deal for Jackson

Are you sure about that? He has been invisible this year with the Bills.
Not even their number one receiver.

Evans is a good receiver, he's just been handcuffed with crappy QBs who can't get him the ball. Their entire passing game is inept.

Re: Mega-Speculation/Rumor on another WR trade thread

Why don't we just contact the Lions about Megatron....I would give up our 1st and 2nd for him....He would be sick with brady for years....lol I am just dreaming...carry on

Re: Mega-Speculation/Rumor on another WR trade thread

Brandon Tate for improve player of the year.

Get Lee Evans. He isn't Randy Moss. However, he is a premier receiver who has never had a decent QB throwing him the ball...

I doubt Buffalo cares about interconference dealing at this point. They're in full rebuilding mode, and they will almost certainly trade him anywhere if they can get decent value...

The offense, without Mankins, with Light's contract up, with BJGE and Woodhead earning a pittance, with veterans like Connolly and Crumpler not making much, with rookies out there... and Welker making not even half of what he is worth...

...wow, Brady's crew is filled with hard workers but not much in the way of stars. That's OK, but surely, we need to start spreading some of that cash around to, um, augment them.

Lee Evans is a guy I wouldn't mind taking a look at. He's fairly one dimensional but could help us stretch the field.

This team continues to act like Brady's a young 33.They need to get Vincent Jackson.

What is the asking price for Vincent Jackson again?

just curious, not really freaking out about the trade, but hes still available am i right??

Re: What is the asking price for Vincent Jackson again?

Chargers wanted a 2nd & 3rd from the Vikings.

Plus you'll need to give him the huge contract the Chargers did not want to give him.

...... a few bottles of Jack and a couple cases of Bud

Re: What is the asking price for Vincent Jackson again?

Dont bother. This team would never do it.They are stockpiling picks for the future.A future uncertain for the next QB of this team.

Are there any WR we can add to the team?

via trade of FA. Looking at the remaining options at WR/TE/RB and they are not to promising.

Welker is Welker. 96 games played, 468 rec. Probowls, all pro etc. But how much will his game be hurt with the loss of Moss?

Crumpler - 143 games 367 rec. But lets no kid ourselves, he is not an good option for catches anymore.

after that, the experience of our WR/TE is scary.

Tate - 6 games played, 11 catches
Price - has not played yet
Edelman - 14 games, 41 catches
Gronk - 4 games, 6 catches
Hernandez - 4 games, 18 catches
Slater - Special teams option only.

Tate, Price, Edelman, Gronk and Hernandez: 28 games, 76 catches.

How can anyone not be worried? So does anyone have any thoughts on who could be brought in. Not that that should be any great comfort, we have seen how new WR's do with the Pats system.

Because we have the Best QB of all time

What's with the whining? Brady is signed through 2014, by which time the 8 picks (if all used) in 2011 will be third year players. And he'll be 35/36 years old and probably have another 2 or more years left in him.

Plenty of time for the Patriots players drafted over the last two / next two years to become valuable parts of the program.

Re: Are there any WR we can add to the team?

Taylor Price

How do u know Brady will be effective at that age?

Jack isn't cheap anymore!

But I'd pull the trigger on a 2nd and 3rd if the front office thinks he isn't going to be a head case moving forward.

Not much experience but loads of talent. And they've produced when given the opportunity. Since they're talented and they've produced when given the opportunity, isn't the real question: what is there to be worried about?
