Merged ignored threads still show up

I have noticed that if I ignore a thread, but it has been merged, it still shows up on the front page.

Not a major deal, just something I've noticed as I try to ignore framegate barrage.

Now that I am ignoring at a breakneck pace, and threads are being merged, this is becoming more prevalent an issue....I am probably ignoring about 70% of threads (i.e., nonfootball threads), so the merged nonfootball threads (which are also ignored) are stuck above the fold....
