Obama rejects/denounces endorsement from black bigot (Louis Farrakhan), McCain embraces endorsement from white bigot (John Hagee). White bigots are part of the core Republican base.Religion shouldn't even be brought up in politics.

Well, this locks up the elderly vote for McCain. Hagee is to old Americans as Oprah is to African Americans.

Not all of them , i know an old lady, she is 88 years old , she told me today that Bush and the republican were a disaster for our country , the lady has a PHD , she taught in differents colleges during her career.I was just impressed how much she knew about the actual economy and stock market and the international business , i was humbled by this lady. And she 's not voting republican , that i can tell you.

    Sorry? Huh?
There are many..MANY so-called "liberal" bigots. Most of my "friends" and relatives who went to liberal colleges, donate to charities like UNCF and Amnesty International are full-blown bigots when push comes to shove. Their black or hispanic friends are only present when they "behave themselves" at the parties. When they come to my house and meet my black brothers and sisters, they are extremely uncomfortable because they're "Wistah" minorities...not Newton and Alston minorities. There's a huge difference, apparently. The guys and their families that I know like going to the rod and gun club, drinking in bars and hanging out with us poolside. Simple folks who don't put us on. I'll take them over any Lexus Liberals I have to tolerate on a daily basis.

My wife's 90 something year old grandmother, is a die-hard Democrat who taught history in an Arkansas high school. She is beside herself in that she might have to vote for a black man. She is going to be in denial when Hillary drops out, as that family was/is really into the woman thing.

    OK...

First off... history is NEVER 100%. To me, it's = it's like that game that you play when 5 or more of you play when the first person picks a word, then whispers in the next persons ear... and the final person says out loud the word. The final word is much different than the original; if you get my drift.

Second... the Rockefeller family originated women's lib.

Look it up if you don't believe me. They wanted an extra way for income tax (an unwritten law btw).

    True story...

You ain't seen nothing yet, wait until you see how Whitey gets kicked around this summer, if Obama wins and becomes the President it still won't stop, all of Mccains voters will be branded racists because they voted for Mccain and if Obama looses and Mccain becomes President the riots will return.

The "Race Card" will be played to the hilt this summer, by the squealing holier than thou Democrats.

Now I will be called racist for daring to even think this.

Ok, you totally lost me. The history reference was her vocation, I just threw that in for some background. The womans lib, maybe so. Again, I threw that in because this family is like that cancelled tv show, Three Sisters (Diane Cannon). My point was, this die-hard and very old southern Democrat, is a little shaken that she might have to vote for a black man.

I actually disagree somewhat Harry. I think Obama is way too prudent to play it himself, or allow anyone in his campaign to do so. Sure, there will be some people that try to do it, but Obama will distance himself from any of that talk. That type of rhetoric would most likely not sit well with the public, and lessen his chances of winning (given that he's the nominee). There will be some loudmouths that do, but I think most will stay away from it and harp on the "change" thing.

Your probably right about the Obama people not getting involved in it but I still consider ALL politicians dishonest and none of them are ever to be trusted.

    The Clinton Method
On something like this the Clintons are experts on getting it out there, they have somebody at the very bottom of the ladder throw the bomb then when the bomb goes off the Clintons run to the news media screaming "oh my God we never knew anything about this" the media forgives them but it is to late, the bomb blew up, the message is out, the Obama people are well aware of this trick, many of them are Members Of The Back Stabbers Club That Deserted The Clintons because of this "Race Thing", They Are The Real Racists.

We will see, I think the "Race Card" will play a big part in this circus this summer, the democrats will be whailing and sobbing with outrage at anybody who supports Mccain, (if you support mccain you are a racist).

As we've learned in this forum, any criticism of Obama and you are immediately labelled a racist. You can call Bush a "scum sucking AWOL traitor" and that's fine... but if you dare use Obama's middle name, you're a racist. :bricks:

OK, how many times do we need to have posters say this with zero evidence? Are Republicans more bigoted than Democrats? The only study I could find says NO. Think about this, a core group of support for Democrats are white, blue collar workers, correct? White people in places like Southie and Dorchester (for examples in MA) traditionally vote disproportionately Dem, correct? Do you know many white people in Southie/Dorchester/Lynn, etc? Ever ask their opinion on black people or hispanics? What they think of immigrant labor? Of minorities moving into their neighborhoods? That voting block (white blue collar laborers), which represents a large % of Dem voters, can be EXTREMELY racist! Everyone here likes to ignore things like that though and say the Republican party is the party of racism. Is it just coincidence that states with the larger percentages of these Dems (Ohio, Pennsylvania) are the last ones holding onto Hillary as their candidate? Maybe, maybe not, but I am sure that racism is not a 1 party deal. There are unfortunately idiots on both sides, there's no need to single out Republicans as the bigots.
