I say BS.
Reiss has no shot. Way too small even for slot receiver. Makes Woodhead look like Wilfork.
Because short shifty white guys don't work here? Just you wait :D

Isn't that the last time Gronk played in all 16? Sure wish he was a rookie again.:)

But But all the mediots and doom and gloom fans say he has never played a full season.

What a story that would be, eh? Fans started off obsessing about replacing Hernandez in the draft, then when it became clear that the draft cupboard was bare of joker TEs switched to obsessing about phantom options like Rob Housler and a younger version of Owen Daniels, then gradally shifted gears to "McDaniels doesn't use the joker position, it's all about a Gronk backup"...then here comes a joker TE who nobody considered at all.

Are you just trying to get Joker to reply to this?

He played all 16 in 2011 too. Technically he played all 19, though in the Super Bowl he was pretty much going through the motions.

He played 16 in 2011..then the injury bug hit.

Nice read on Wright:

New England Patriots TE Tim Wright has been adapting on the fly since college | masslive.com

Of note:

Above all, Tim Wright is a learner. Ask P.J. Fleck, who coached wide receivers at Rutgers from 2010-11.

Fleck, now the head man at Western Michigan, recalls Wright beating out Mark Harrison for the No. 2 receiver job opposite Mohamed Sanu in 2010. Then Wright tore his ACL. Other receivers, including Harrison, emerged. When Wright returned in 2011, with Rutgers loaded at wideout, the coaching staff experimented.

“He made sure he was on the field,” Fleck said. “We just didn’t know where to put him.”

They tried tight end. For a few weeks, they even tried him outside linebacker.

“Shoot, he was a Wildcat quarterback,” Fleck said.

Like on the scout team?

“No," Fleck said. "We were actually considering playing him there. ... Because he was used to doing so many things, he learned faster than probably anyone else.”

Block of text.

So basically what you're saying is if he can get faster than he will be better than he currently is.

Thanks for that wisdom.

IMO he just needs to learn the playbook QUICK and get on the same page as Brady. He will be a stud in our offense if he can adjust to Belichicks coaching style

Great interpretation there. Has it occurred to you or anybody that Wright is so much to the WR side that he is more WR than Joker TE. And rather than trying to bulk up to block and negate his quickness and speed which makes him good(since he plays slightly faster than 4.65) he focuses on adding quickness, speed and flexibility to be more of a WR who just happens to block well than a TE at all. He could be either, he says he is 231 or so but wants to get to 240 if he is to be a joker te, or he could just focus on being a WR which he would be better off at his college weight of 220-225 and focus on speed and quickness to take the next step at WR the way Kenbrell did working with his cousin Antonio Brown and his athletic trainers. Bill hasn't officially used him in any blocking yet to be considered the joker te. Personally I think him focusing on being a WR adding some more speed and quickness to his arsenal is just as intriguing due to his ball skills sharp cuts and sticky hands. I was saying he could be really good as either the joker the if they go that way with him or a WR.

im pretty excited to see the praise that Josh McDaniels gave him in how much he's learned. makes me think he is a smart player who should be able to come in and contribute right away.
