Looks like we have an early start to this week's predictions from the media. Gary Myers of the New York Daily News is already declaring the Jets will win Monday; I guess he'll spend the rest of the week working on columns about how the Jets won.

Jets will beat Patriots Monday to seize control of AFC East, prove they're ready for Super Bowl run

Geez, how many years in a row can they use this line? The Pats are truly in the heads of that entire fanbase.

Hate to rain on your "media is against us" party, but everything I have seen has the Pats winning. Pretty sure you were favored last time too.

Who wouldn't have been favored after that load of crap game against the Ravens? I mean, your guy runs out of bounds, unforced, on fourth down and short of the 1st, to end the game.

Both Florio and Rosenthal pick the Pats and make good points along the way.

Yeah, they forgot to give it to Peyton that year. Remember, he's got the single-season TD record.

    What's that?

Tom Brady has it now, you say?

    In 2007, you say...

    Ohhhhhhh....

So the question is: did Florio really think Brady has not yet won an MVP? Or was that comment purposely made in order to create more web hits and comments? I haven't read the comments there, but I'm guessing the number of comments was large, and at some point it turned to other events that happened to the Pats in that same year (the SB loss, spygate.)

NFL Picks Week 13: Patriots, Jets Collide for AFC Supremacy -- NFL FanHouse

The odd thing is that after saying all that Dave Goldberg's prediction is Jets 30, Patriots 20.

NFL Football Picks - Sporting News
Update to those Sporting News picks:
Dennis Dillon: Pats 27, Jets 21
Todd Wright: Jets 28, Pats 20
That makes the final tally at SN 5-2 in favor of the Pats

Weekly NFL picks from USA TODAY's analysts - USATODAY.com
Predicted winner, columnist, and year to date record:
    Jets - Jarrett Bell, 99-77 (.563)
    Pats - Jim Corbett, 107-69 (.608)
    Jets - Nate Davis, 114-62 (.648)
    Pats - Sean Leahy, 108-68 (.614)
    Pats - Gary Mihoces, 111-65 (.631)
    Pats - Pete O'Brien, 108-68 (.614)
    Pats - Tom Pedulla, 98-78 (.557)
    Pats - Jon Saraceno, 109-67 (.619)

Insiders' Picks - Showtime Sports - Inside The NFL
Phil Simms (112-64) and Warren Sapp (117-59) take the Jets
Cris Collinsworth (106-70) go with the Pats
If you want to watch what they say, the Pats-Jets is the first game they debate - but the discussion only lasts for about 90 seconds.
