You'll notice I'm not around as much...well, this is why. I wish we could just fast-forward through all this stuff. It makes me feel queasy.
Yup. The possibility of losing Troy last year was a bummer. Seeing Ty Law in booger-green was a bummer. The probablity of losing Adam this year is a major bummer... but the thought of Big 55 finishing his distinguished career in anything other than a Patriots uniform... it just isn't right.PatsChick87 said:I agree, I've got a sick feeling too but I have hope that this is just manuvering to get him on a better contract! Willie has to finish here, it just wouldn't be right otherwise!!!

It makes me nervous that Wille is out there to be plucked up by Romey.:explative

I think he is a lock to play here this year.

That is the one that really baffles me - which actually may show some method to BBs madness - or then again maybe not.pats60 said:why is poole still here?
Miguel said:That is not possible. That is not what happened with Troy Brown. The Patriots did not pick up Troy's option making him an UFA.
It is likely a courtesy to Willie so that he can shop right at the beginning of the free agency period when the most opportunity is out there. There is also the possibility that they already tried to negotiate a new contract with Willie and they couldn't get agreement and this let's Willie know that they are willing to let him go on the open market rather than sign what his agent is asking for. That would also put a little pressure on Willie and his agent since if the Pats find a replacement for acceptable value then Willie's spot might be gone.DaBruinz said:This is a big mistake in my opinion.
