Something tells me the portions are about to become smaller.

This isn't actually surprising, fast food places always have better deals during slowdowns/recessions/whatever.

That would be good. Less poisoning of our kids is always a good thing. Their burgers should be about the size of a quarter and their fries should resemble tiithpicks. McDonalds < food.

You have no idea how much you are correct.

    Take canned vegetable, for example.

There were always 15 oz in a can of vegetables.

Now, if you check the labels of a lot of the cans, Green Giant, Del Monte and others, many will only have 14.5 ounces.

A half an ounce isnt much but if you multiply that by the millions of cans that are packed each year it really is a tremendous amount of money that the manufacturer is saving on the cost of the vegetables.

But, of course, at the supermarkets the price of the veggies goes up, even though there is less in the can.

So, if McDonalds cuts the size of the patties by a fraction of an ounce in each patty..they literally save millions upon millions of dollars in their cost for the meat. Same price per patty to the public but just a trickle less of meat, which for the most part goes un noticed just like the half ounce of veggies in the can.

The only fast food place that has almost decent fries is Wendys and even those are not as thick as they once were.

BTW, what is a tiithpick? :D

Checkers/Rally's blows everyone else's fries out of the water. Their other stuff (burgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, etc.) leave a lot to be desired though.

That is a reasonable question however I doubt that they would do that. My guess is that it is the vegetable content which over a long period of time saves them countless amounts of money.

A half ounce is not much when you look at it as one can but in the millions upon millions of cans over the course of a year or so it can add up to millions of dollars saved by the company and of course prices to the consumer go up too.

Exactly. Look at how candy bars have gotten much smaller but the price stays the same or it goes up.

Ahhh yes...posting a song. NEM is the only person I know here that does that. It takes me back...back to the days before he was banned...and said he was never coming back, then keeps coming back, like some kind of rabid, deranged homing pigeon.

What's the matter, Mike? Did you miss us? Is your own board so dead you've got to come here?

Now, someone who didn't know what we were talking about would say "what are you guys talking about? What's an NEM?"...but someone who's been banned about 4 times and keeps trying to sneak back in...well he wouldn't have to do that.

    Liar.

But someone who has lurked the forum for a long time before registering would know wouldnt they.

From what I have seen, you and a few others are obsessed with NEM and you spend far too much time being little tattle tales on him instead of using your time for something much more rewarding.

It is almost like a personal vendetta that some of you have and quite frankly it is the sign of instability. You need to see a doctor, IMO, of course.

Is it because he was always getting the better of you and the only way you could be an alleged victor was to remove your competition? Pretty childish and petty if you ask me, but dont bother to ask.

Here I am at an earlier date. Enjoy

Oh goody! We're going to go back to that story! That worked so well for you when you pretended to be "MosiT" from Canada...the "bounty hunter" in a country that doesn't have them.

BTW, I get the New England Mike thing, and Mosi Tatupu, and Gino Capelleti, but who was Mister Kaye? Was that Danny Kay? You really are a pathetic person, NEM. Why don't you go back to your own board and leave this one alone?

Better yet, why don't you tell us all why you hate the Republicans so much? What's the truth of that story? What did you get caught doing? Was it little kids? Was that it?

Wow...NEM, MosiT and GinoC all made those exact same statements, in basically the exact same words. Why not just put "the poster banned as NEM" in your signature, you lying jagoff.
NEM getting the better of me? In what? In discussing politics on the internet? No one wins here...this is just rolling around in the mud a little for fun. But you, as someone who has to call someone a nazi or a murderer simply becuause they don't agree with you, or make threats--you just don't get that do you?
What a pathetic person you are, Mike. I could almost feel sorry for you. Almost.
