No plays for Moss in the first half, meanwhile the Colts are trotting out two no-name corners...

Call a few plays for Moss; give the ball to your key players.

I'm hoping they're setting something up for the second half. Regardless, if this is the gameplan it's safe to say it wasn't done without Belichick's blessing.

They will get Moss the ball. They are behind by one point and Moss and Welker have hardly touched the ball. That will change in the second half along with the score.

Belichick gives way more leeway to his coordinators than people realize. He doesn't micro-manage. Look at how differently the defense and offense has looked, and play calls, over the past 8 years.

Even on defense, Mangini's defense looked way different from Romeo's or Dean's.

Who cares if Moss doesnt get the ball. The Patriots are moving the ball and are winning. They have out played the Colts on both sides of the ball.

You can tell by this gameplan that the staff still has no real confidence in Matt Cassel. They know more than any of us, so I'm not doubting. This far into the year, you'd think they'd loosen it up a bit to give the kid some confidence to win a big game on the road. The current plan is best attempt at mistake free football. I can see them wanting to give him time and maybe the reigns will loosen a little further along, but boy this is boring offensive football.

I think the end of the game proved that Cassel can't throw it to Moss (unless its by pure luck). Its funny though that many on this board think Cassel is an average or better starter.

He kept us in position to win the game until the dumb play by Thomas, what more could you ask for.

    No Jersey Selected

On the Dave Thomas penalty play, instead of handing-off to BJGE, a play-action fake by Cassel & a slant by Moss might have caught the dolts DBs by surprise, and for a big gain.

Moss should have had those CBs for lunch all night long. I don't understand why he didn't.

I bet you could even work out a percentage of times Moss gets the ball per game, above which the Patriots' chances of winning increase exponentially. Having worked out this "Randy Ratio," you could work out precisely how many looks Randy gets, whether or not he's open, and have Cassel follow the formula to victory

the ball thrown to Gaffney which he dropped was perfect. Absolutely perfect. However, most of the other deep balls have been under thrown in my opinion.

Moss is one of the deadliest weapons the Pats have. The OC has a responsibility to utilize him properly to win games. Why don't we see more red zone looks at Moss? Move Moss around if they are keying on him and make it that much tougher for defenses to defend him. That's pretty basic.

I am shocked i think mcdaniels should be commended ,the biggest issue we had was matt droping back especially on play action when he turned his back towards the rush and getting sacked or turing back and getting a little confused.

Against the colts he was not asked to call upon play action and allowed to face the rush all the time .We also played 2 TE set. matt looked good no sacks and took another step towards being a better player.look for play action to be their this week atleast a few times and passes to moss.
