I am not a McCain fan, but imagine if he could convince Condolezza Rice or Colin Powell to be
    his VP.

He would get my vote if he got either of them on the ticket.
    :horn::horn::horn::horn:

    Did you hear that Patters?

Then again, does my vote really matter?
    I live in Massachusetts.

At least a swing state like Ohio, your vote counts.

I'm a big Condi fan, and was one of those who originally jumped on the idea of her for prez...but what does she bring to the McC ticket except being a younger person, and a black woman?

Bobby Jindall looks better all the time though.

    Condi is brilliant !
Total respect for the lady !
She also appears to be tough as nails !

I would pay to see her debate Obama.
With out a teleprompter, she would eat him for lunch.
    :violent:
( I know presidential candidates do not debate the VP's )

I don't know if it's because of the GWB influence or what, but I'm not as impressed with her as I was.

Certainly, she could make Obama look silly w/o a teleprompter. So could you, so could I. He's not good w/o being told what to say.

It will be very interesting if he chooses a woman or Black person.

    Yeah...okay.

McCain doesn't have enough problems with the actual rank and file Republicans, so he'd go out and get an old liberal who's hawkish on the war.

Do not care for Condi.. like Colin Powell, as he knows the realities of modern warfare, but the latter is not exactly endeared to the republican inner circle.

If McCain and Powell were the ticket, would have to think long and hard about it.. otoh do not think either one has a snowballls chance in hell to be the nominee..

That's a name that is quietly getting a lot of pub. She'd be a very, very interesting choice.

Powell won't get involved in running against Obama. I like Powell, and was hoping he'd be on the Bush ticket in 2004. We can dream can't we. :(

That's the govenor of Alaska, right? Do you really want your prez (or VP) to be a MILF?

Never mind, look who I'm askin'...

Seriously though, I think she'd be an interesting choice indeed.

A major reason why Rice was not blamed for her negligence leading up to 9/11 is she had a mole on the committee. There was more then enough information that showed she failed in her job. Rice would not get off so easily if she was chosen as a running mate.

HAHAHA!!! Hell yeah I do! :rocker:

She's got super high approval ratings, but I'd be lying if I knew what she's like as a governor. I say she'd be interesting only because she's a conservative from what I've read, which would be good for the base, a mother of 4, and most importantly, a woman. Oh, and totally pro-life. I think her selection could create a potential magnet for disavowed Clinton supporters. She might be an atrocious governor for all I know, cuz I don't know anything about her ideology or policies. I just think it could make the race real interesting from a dynamical POV. What does Obama do if McAmnesty picks a woman?

It would be very nice if America's vice president was French-American.

Ce qui serait vraiment cool si le nouveau vice-président a été un ventilateur mécontents de l'état de l'Arizona, et même si ce ventilateur devrait rester sur ses propres patriotes bord et de quitter Ian seul bord.
