Mayan calendar ends in 2028, and NOT 2012?

    no byline... a lot of grammatical errors... looks like a non-story.

    Worse yet, it's a non-story about a non-story. Sorry, Roland Emmerlich, there is no significant planetary alignment upcoming in 2012 (and even if all 8 planets were in a perfect line it still wouldn't matter one darn bit since there are exactly 0 heavenly bodies in our solar system with a noticeable effect on Earth besides the sun and the moon).

    Even the so called once-every-26,000-years alignment with the galactic center isn't really accurate. That particular alignment, which doesn't even really line up, came closest to lining up something like 10 years ago and has been receding ever since. Much like my hairline.
