Maxine Waters On Jobs, Unemployment: 'The Tea Party Can Go Straight To Hell'

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) had some harsh words for the Tea Party at a forum in Inglewood, California Saturday.

With California's jobless rate now 12 percent, the second-highest rate of unemployment in the nation after Nevada, talk about jobs, the economy and the partisan squabbling in Congress dominated the “Kitchen Table Summit.”

"I'm not afraid of anybody," Waters told the crowd. "This is a tough game. You can't be intimidated. You can't be frightened. And as far as I'm concerned, the Tea Party can go straight to hell."

Ask her about that bank she bailed out, that her husband just happened to work at and they just happened to have money invested into, its great when a lair and a crook can call other people names......

    I'm rubber, your glue......:bricks:

If she's guilty of that, she's of course wrong, and she is not an honest Congresswoman in many ways, but her politics are right on.

your words bounce off me and stick to you :D

    Shocking...

She's the other side of the Tea Party coin; just as useless, divisive, and worthy of disdain.

We need to see the other side to the Tea Party coin. The Tea Party is getting a lot of attention and as a result gaining power.

I think she is advocating printing more money and taking on more debt. I read a great article today talking about how that 70 year old experiment needs to finally end. I would say her politics are not spot on regarding the economy anyways.

Congressional Black Caucus Gets Tough on President Obama - The Daily Beast

“The Tea Party discovered something. That is if they organize, if they talk loud enough, if they threaten, if they register to vote and elect a few people, they can take over the Congress of the United States,” said Rep. Maxine Waters. “They called our bluff and we blinked. We should have made them walk the plank.”

    ...

“The people want us to fight. They want us to stand up,” Waters said. “We are going to be insistent that what comes out in September is going to reflect the experiences that we have had.”

The state of California is following the policy prescriptions of libs like Ms Waters the results are an abject failure and even higher unemployment than the dismal national average, this in a state that used to lead the nation in economic development.

Illegal Aliens + Lib polices = disaster and failure.

Especially for 'my people' as she likes to say.

The old racist tells them to Go To Hell she must be afraid of them, if she wasn't she wouldn't even be concerned with them.

    Dear Max
They ain't going to hell, they ain't going anywhere, they'll be around for awhile and you will be hearing a lot about them.
    Love
    Harry

So much for that civilized public discourse we've been hearing so much about.

You know, for a movement that was supposed to be irrelevant, this tea party sure gets alot of press. Maybe they're more relevant than some people want to believe.

It hasn't worked. The Tea Party has not played ball on everything from birtherism, to calling members of the Obama administration 'treasonous,' to the many characterizations of liberals. Hopefully, there will be a group of liberals who respond to the Tea Party, the Palins, the Glen Becks, the Rush Limbaughs with equal force. The Tea Party is more relevant only because no one has hit them in the mouth with the same force they have hit liberalism in the mouth. One of the biggest complaints about Obama is that he has not forcefully challengec the Tea Party's views, presumably because of his pursuit of civilized public discourse.

I thought we already had. You know, back in 2008 when the Dems took the White House, the House of Representatives and Senate?

Of course they're relevant, because almost half the country ultimate thinks like they do. But let's not confuse "relevant" with "moral."

The Democratic Party is hardly a monolithic group. It ranges from fairly conservative to very liberal. Indeed, some it's members in Congress are considered more conservative than some Republicans. The opposite of the Tea Party is the liberal wing of the Democrat Party, of which Maxine Waters is a member.

The name-caller himself advocates for civilized discourse when it serves his political aims. Be careful or some people might start to call you a fraud ;)
