Maurice Morris would be a solid signing for the Patriots at running back if Green-Ellis's price tag gets too high. He is a very good veteran running back who's been the Lions safety net for Jahvid Best the past couple of years. Morris also like Green-Ellis never fumbles. Morris has fumbled more than once the past 5 years. Morris is also a very good pass catcher which is also an advantage in the Patriots offense. I know eveyone will want a Michael Bush or Peyton Hillis but I don't see the Patriots going that route, they're going to spend at other positions of need. Morris would be perfect for the Patriots if Green-Ellis doesn't sign. He's a reliable veteran who will help ease Ridley into a starting role instead of just handing him the starting job in camp which would be a mistake.
