some people only see what they want to see. Morris has not been that great. over the season Maroney has been much better and I know morris was injured but even in the time he played Maroney looked better. I think Maroney has been doing great this season. they are all pretty level to me but I'd rather see Maroney out there than taylor or morris.

Lol get out of the basement and get a life dood.

Wait... you say you posted this idiotic thread because of the way that I've dealt with the Anti-Maroney people this season, but I'm the one who needs to get a life?

You need to take a good look in a mirror.

LOL, I love you man, you are one of the people who post here that make it worth reading on a regular basis.

Why does he need to get a life? You are a miserable little troll who comes onto a message board of a team you claim to be a fan of and get all excited about one of our best players having a bad game. This thread is stupid, and that is putting it nicely.

It's absolutely pathetic. You people who aren't happy unless you're miserable and complaining need to grow the hell up. Welcome to my ban list, you piece of crap.

Wow, dood grow up. OOps I guess its too late.

BTW, even though he dropped the ball, it should have been ruled a touchdown. It was a bad call by the refs that couldn't be overturned because there was no footage of when he lost control of the ball, but it was pretty evident that he crossed the goalline. But with no footage, there is no way to overturn the call.

This where instant replay has holes and BB has raised this as an issue many times when asked about it. With today's technology (GPS, triangulated/merged imaging), refs should be able to conclusively assess ALL questionable calls. I know there are budgets and all, but as IR is currently constituted, it is lacking.

It was the same situation with the Moss TD where he reached out to the goal line. I assume that the right call was made, but to the Pat's benefit, there wasn't a sufficient angle to overturn the call on the field to determine if his knees were down before he reached for the goal line. Oh well

Gotta wonder if the LoMo call was reversed, would he still have been relegated to the bench. He was running very well too.

He did drop the ball, but he has bee running really well. Granted if he continues to drop the ball, it won't matter. Right now he is the best runner the Pats have, but is a risk because of the drops.

We saw the ball bounce on the goal line on the replay that cbs showed. Isn't that replay available to the people who review challenged calls?

Not quite sure about the hate, I actually thought Maroney had been a pretty good player, up until he started fumbling. I just got a bit tired of the complete and total support for LoMO when he was having issues.

A little troll is perhaps a bit harsh, for I am anything but little.

What happened to all the Maroney lovers??? No posts about the coaches love today. Gotta hold on to that ball man.

weak post...Maroney has had a good year

I would say Maroney has had an ok year this year. Good year is too strong in my opinion. He has run much much better for the last 4 or 5 games, but his fumbling will be why he is not back.

Maroney is frustrating. finally starts putting his head down and running with some decisiveness and turns into a turnover machine in the redzone. Hopefully he puts some work into that in the off season and comes back with a monster year behind light mankins vollmer and a OC/G to-be-drafted-later. He deffinately has the most raw skill, he just needs to realize his potential and stop screwin the pooch on goalline carries. I hated on the guy pretty hard earlier this season and it was nice to see him develop, but the fumbles gotta stop.

Maybe not from you but there is and has been plenty of Maroney hate amongst Pats fans...on this board as well as others.

The bottom line in my mind is that he has been a much better back this season than in the previous couple of years. Some theorize that is largely due to the fact that he is healthy but I also think he's been coached up on his vision and running north/south instead of east and west. The dancing around in the backfield has to a large degree disappeared from his game.

Fumbles aside, he's been pretty productive this season. The fumble in Indy almost certainly contributed to the loss but today's fumble was a flukey missed call that should very well have been a TD.

I don't think he's been terrible at protecting the ball by any means.

I never really hated on the guy, but other than than, I completely agree with this post.

I dont think anyone was arguing that he's been running better as of late. The fumbling would be the issue now. You say he's gettin the espn treatment but how would you characterize the guy based on his entire career so far? I'd go with flashes of promise over shadowed by indecisive running, a fumbling problem, inconsistency, and lets throw in fragile for good measure.

Don't need to hear the hate from imbeciles like yourself. Coach decides who to play.

Maroney is still the best back the Patriots have.

Did he even see the field again after the fumble? I swear I didn't see him out there again after that.

I can guaranty I am not an imbecile. Perhaps a quick check of the mirror would help the identity crisis for you.

However that has little to do with Maroney and his recent inability to hold onto the ball.
