I believe we can win with all 3 quarterbacks

Mark has won a lot of games for us

Mark has a skill set that is pretty impressive.

Mark needs to improve his decision making

Wow. Someone's in denial. At least he admits that Sanchez's decision making is poor, which doesn't bode well because the Jags defense, while it is terrible, forces the quarterback to make good decisions and precise throws on long drives down the field. That, and the fact that Henne has a pretty decent history against Ryan's defenses (along with just a gut feeling) are the reasons why I think the Jags might pull this off.

That is my fear about playing the Rats in the playoffs.

There is no doubt in my mind that the Pats are head and shoulders above the rodents, but they were in 2010 as well when the Pats shot themselves in the foot.

Any given Sunday as they say, but stranger things have happened.

The last time a strange thing happened, the Rats walked away with feelings of superiority which are actually just delusions of adequacy.

The Jets and Woody are the prototypical example of why owners shouldn't be meddling with their coaches and GMs.

I am so utterly grateful that we Patriots have Kraft as our owner.

Via several sources on Twitter, gotta love this vote of confidence from Rex:

"If (Sanchez) throws one INT, it doesn't mean he's going to get benched, necessarily."

Ryan has had final say over every draft pick since 2009. Sanchez was his guy, 100%. As a matter of fact, reports are that many in the Jets organization wanted Freeman, but Ryan fell in love with Sanchez during their interview.

    #91 Jersey

This thread should be merged into the larger Jets thread. Aside from comic relief the Jets should be viewed only in the rearview mirror. They are no longer any factor to the 2012 Patriots.

We have 2 very important and far more interesting weeks coming up. Why waste a single brain cell thinking about that clown college they got run.ning down in Florian Park. Just say a prayer that they continue to employ that dysfunctional brain trust of Woody, Tanny and Rexy for another season, so come April we can look forward to being amused for another season.

However for the time being FORGET the Jets. We are past piling on in our obsession with the green beans, and the Jets themselves have gone from pathetic to pitiful to a characterture of an NFL team. Just imagine being viewed as a joke by EVERY other team in the league, regardless of what the outcome is on Sunday. Think about it. In our darkest days of Patriot history it never got that bad. Victor Kiam was a better owner than Woody Johnson.....and I just threw up in my mouth after typing that. ;)

In other word, thanks for the W kid. But we do things differently here.

    I understand this.

But its my understanding as well, that Tebow was brought in entirely on Woody's say-so and that Rex knew he wouldn't fit.

That leaves Rex without a real #2 quarterback and no other choice than to stick with Sanchez whether he wants to or not though Tebow being injured certainly compounds the problem.

No in other words make sure you moron jaxonville fans lobby your new owner who wants fannies in seats to trade for him in March if we can afford to part with him. ;)

He won't be healthy enough to be the #2 Sunday because he cannot be the #2 on a team that may well bench it's #1 again because he can't remotely run it's base offense and they never did come up with even a Tebow package he could run in an emergency. If he's active and they list him as the #2, McElroy will be active too even if they list him as the #3.

That understanding is a crock. Sure Woody was easily talked into Tebow because of the PR value. But Rex and Tanny wanted him because all they saw was a QB who beat them in the playoffs. They didn't realize until they got him in here just how limited he was (lousy practice player and can't run a base passing offense). Then they found out he didn't work as a gimmick, either. Just rattled Sanchise cage. Which like the Manning flirtation had the opposite effect they were hoping for (push) because despite what Rex babbled about a hour ago, Sanchez isn't remotely mentally tough. What he is is a little shallow and vacant, which is why he appears to shake off insult and injury easily (while never being driven to disprove his critics). They had no need to give Sanchez that extension, either. He was be who and what he is regardless. Woody is an idiot, but his real gift is surrounding himself with like minds. Including the kind who would avoid developing the promising #2 they already had on the roster because he was just too damn smart for their liking.

No matter how much anybody thought Tebow could ruin the Jets if things went wrong... I don't think anybody thought it would be this bad.

According to this article on Woody Johnson and Tim Tebow: Woody Johnson: Tebow trade not done to sell tickets

Woody denies having a strong hand in bringing in Tebow, that he did so to sell tickets and that Rex and Tanny made the decision.

    So there! Oh wait...

I am wrong in the Woody pushed for the trade and I was in hindsight I was wrong to use Woody as and example of a "prototypical" meddling owner. I really thought the Tebow trade was all on him.

But I am not wrong in believing that Kraft is the best owner in football ;)

Been hitting the sauce a little early today, Mo? Tebow didn't beat the Jets in the playoffs. As a matter of fact, the Jets didn't qualify in 2011.

    #11 Jersey

...while Tannenbaum, the designated cap wizard, engineered Sanchez's can't-cut-him contract. Quite the pair, eh?
