He was a third round pick for the Panthers last year. Never a good sign when a team cuts a guy that quick

He obviously has some potential and if he can rush the passer he could stick around. But consider this a reclamation project and keep expectations low, despite the fact he was a higher pick a year ago.

Belichick loves this guy. Had two visits with him in the pre draft process. Forced to start most of the season because of injury and depth issues. Think the Panthers had two rookies at DT at one point.

Tonnes of untapped potential...think it was a case of too much responsibility too soon.

He played on Sunday when Wilfork came off the field and he was terrible.

I read somewhere he wasn't all that bad when he thrusted into a starting position (19 tackles and a sack last year). He wasn't great, but not horrible as a rookie. Kinda a shock that they cut him, but they needed to make room for Dwan Edwards.

One again we find ourselves scraping the bottom of the barrel in desperate search for an inside pass rush. At least Myron Pryor will return eventually.. Count me among those who would like to see more aggressive use of LBs rushing the passer.

Sounds more like a not desperate at all search for a big athlete who can contribute on a couple of special teams units.

Perhaps he can be coached up to contribute more, but in no way is he being relied on to do so.
