Make no mistake, much of the Miami game and almost all of this game is about one thing, and one thing alone, the record books. If we were 14-1, our starters would play maybe half a quarter, and then we would try to get backups some reps. After all, we might need the bcakups in the playoffs, and rested linebackers. Bruschi and Seau would start and then leave to get needed rest.

But it is what is it is. This week is NOT about the playoffs or the Super Bowl. This week is about records. How many records will be set if the first score is a pass to Moss? We will all make excuses as why the starters MUST play to stay sharp. All of it is a bunch of nonsense. They will play to help get the team records. And yes, this is what is BEST for the team. And yes, the players want to do this.

The NFL has been around a long time. Many of these records have been here a long time also.

You can bet Moss will be blanketed any time we get near the goal line. It's going to be pretty obvious Brady will be going for him to get two.
