All those Che Guevara posters and shirts bearing his image. He's tres chic.

Doesn't matter that he was the Heinrich Himmler of the Cuban Revolution.

And now the greatest murderer of all time. Yes, you read that correctly.

Well, the man responsible for 30-60 million deaths, largely of anonymous Chinese peasantry by self-inflicted famine, is one of the two political philosophers the current White House Communications Director most extols. Anita Dunn did it in front of high-schoolers too.

And she commutes every day to the White House? Has she opened a history text? Much like her boss, I fear the answer may be No.

You can't make this stuff up. Roger’s Rules The Maoist explains herself: egg, face at the White House

Can somebody tell Press Cover (he ignores me) that the country will now have to hit rock bottom before it begins it's climb back up, Comrade Prince Obama and his gang of Czars are a wake up call to America even many of his most loyal Groupies all across the country are now saying "what have we done" they are no longer under the spell of his gorgeous smile, they don't give a sh!t about how "firm" his wifes arms are either.

One women may not be the "entire left" but do you see The Left complaining about her, do you see the the left giving her the "Limbaugh Treatment" do you see "The Obama News Service" condeming her, has Our Beautiful Prince Charming publicly disagreed with the Communist B!tch.

Jay Nordlinger on Che Guevara Chic on National Review Online

Try googling "Che chic." Che chic | csmonitor.com

Ever read much or observe the inhabitants of your local university? I have both.

I realize it's only one example here of Mao, but weren't you aware of the Sixties? All those Mao books being carried around by hippies and such? Where have you been? Born in 1983 and not much of a reader? America divided: the Civil War of ... - Google Books Read the bottom of the page. Copies of the 1967 English translation of "Mao's Little Red Book" began to circulate among the New Left.

Don't overlook the woman Anita Dunn is, ahem, Director of White House Communications. Not some unimportant factotum.

    Jeez!

DarrylS, are you saying we on the Right espouse Mao? Are you insane?

We espouse Edmund Burke. Some of us get radical and utilize Aristotle.

Never, ever have I heard a right-winger praise Mao. The closest would be Samuel Francis's of the Italian Marxist Gramsci.

Anne Dunn is lucky she didn't live in Mao's world, had she lived under Mao and dared to disagree with anything written in his little Red Sh!t Book she would have been dismembered and buried under piles of water buffalo dung.

The concern is this "lady" works in the White House. The people obama surrounds himself with, whether in his previous life with The Reverand and The Terrorist or now with the likes of this person, Van Jones, etc, is quite appalling.

Much ado about nothing, typical for a state thread.

Here's the real scoop on what happened.

Really she in her own words calls MAO a major influence...That may be OK from your POV but not to most sane Americans.

Using John Lennon to support a right wing argument does not compute, sorry...

Why is that? If you can quote someone who normally disagrees with you, it only serves to strengthen the point.

The whole point of the song is he wants no part of revolutionaries who use violence and destruction to advance their agenda. John Lennon, who I agree was no darling of the right, knew (and opposed) violence when he saw it no matter whom it came from - unlike so many of those who were advancing leftist agendas of the day.

"But when you talk about destruction
Don't you know you can count me out"
    - John Lennon

Not surprised you don't have an answer for the communist and extremist Obama associates with.

If you spend time justifying it you never understand, some things should not be taken literally or out of context to meet the needs of a specific situation... you obviously do not understand John Lennon at all... he just took a quarter turn in his grave over the use of his song in this thread..

In reality this song was written during the height of the anti war movement, and in reaction to some of the Anarchy that had begun to take place... he says "you can count me out"... has to do with his believe that violence was not the answer... inthe album version he says, " you can count me in"...

One thing you need to be mindful of is that Charles Manson believed that the song "Helter Skelter" was the prompting by the Beatles to begin the "race war'.. the beatles were musicians and artists, that is all.

    From a lost interview..

Consider the previous administration that was filled with draft dodging neo-cons, who all thought alike... that got us a long way.. it is really unfortunate that I had to listen to 9 minutes of Glenn Beck...

Here are some of her qualifying comments.. which are not all that offensive or inflammatory.. guess the difference between left and right has to do the grey area, do not see praise of the man.. just an observation on Mao and his writings..

Before you start with the hyperbole and hysteria, am not glorifying Mao...

Mao killed over 70 mil people shouldn't be a big influence on any sane person. On the full in context you tube vid she say he was one of her biggest influences, pathetic try at cheery picking a quote though. Can't wait till you try to spin someone quoting something Hitler says.....

The problem is Herr Beck cherry picked and did not use the entire quote, the above is the quote...knew you would fall back on hysteria and hyperbole to justify your leaders words ... all of you folks love taking things out of context without qualification or study, lemmings all :rolleyes:
