Manxman's Live Mock.

To start the day off, I have a trade.

the Browns are heavily rumoured to want to take a WR at #12 but missed out on the top 3 prospects. Well there's one WR left with first round potential in Jaelen Strong but the Chiefs just happen to be picking ahead of the Browns and they too are in need despite the signing of Maclin. As for the Chargers, there are a number of potential offensive linemen for them to draft and a prominent RB still so it makes sense for them to trade down. So...

Cleveland Browns trade #19, 111 for San Diego Chargers #17

With the 17th pick, the Cleveland Browns select Jaelen Strong, WR, Arizona State

Round One
1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Jameis Winston, QB, FSU
2. Tennessee Titans - Leonard Williams, DL, USC
3. Jacksonville Jaguars - Vic Beasley, EDGE, Clemson
4. Oakland Raiders - Kevin White, WR, W. Virginia
5. Washington Redskins - Dante Fowler Jnr, EDGE, Florida
6. New York Jets - Marcus Mariota, QB, Oregon
7. Miami Dolphins (Fr. Chicago Bears) - Amari Cooper, WR, Alabama
8. Atlanta Falcons - Randy Gregory, EDGE, Nebraska
9. New York Giants - Alvin 'Bud' Dupree, EDGE, Kentucky.
10. St Louis Rams - Brandon Scherff, OL, Iowa
11. Minnesota Vikings - DeVante Parker, WR, Louisville
12. Cleveland Browns - Danny Shelton, DT, Washington
13. New Orleans Saints - La'el Collins, OL, LSU
14. Chicago Bears - Trae Waynes, CB, Michigan State
15. San Francisco 49ers - Jalen Collins, CB, LSU
16. Houston Texans - Todd Gurley, RB, Georgia
17. Cleveland Browns (Fr. San Diego) - Jaelen Strong, WR, Arizona State

With the 18th pick, the Kansas City Chiefs select Andrus Peat, OT, Stanford

The Chiefs move the disappointing Eric Fisher to RT and bring in a giant to play LT.

Round One
1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Jameis Winston, QB, FSU
2. Tennessee Titans - Leonard Williams, DL, USC
3. Jacksonville Jaguars - Vic Beasley, EDGE, Clemson
4. Oakland Raiders - Kevin White, WR, W. Virginia
5. Washington Redskins - Dante Fowler Jnr, EDGE, Florida
6. New York Jets - Marcus Mariota, QB, Oregon
7. Miami Dolphins (Fr. Chicago Bears) - Amari Cooper, WR, Alabama
8. Atlanta Falcons - Randy Gregory, EDGE, Nebraska
9. New York Giants - Alvin 'Bud' Dupree, EDGE, Kentucky.
10. St Louis Rams - Brandon Scherff, OL, Iowa
11. Minnesota Vikings - DeVante Parker, WR, Louisville
12. Cleveland Browns - Danny Shelton, DT, Washington
13. New Orleans Saints - La'el Collins, OL, LSU
14. Chicago Bears (Fr. Miami Dolphins) - Trae Waynes, CB, Michigan State
15. San Francisco 49ers - Jalen Collins, CB, LSU
16. Houston Texans - Todd Gurley, RB, Georgia
17. Cleveland Browns (Fr. San Diego) - Jaelen Strong, WR, Arizona State
18. Kansas City Chiefs - Andrus Peat, OT, Stanford

With the 19th pick, the San Diego Chargers select Melvin Gordon, RB, Wisconsin

I don't need to overthink this, they have a major need at RB and a quality RB is sitting on the board. They could upgrade the OL or look at NT but go with the best available prospect if it fits a need.

Round One
1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Jameis Winston, QB, FSU
2. Tennessee Titans - Leonard Williams, DL, USC
3. Jacksonville Jaguars - Vic Beasley, EDGE, Clemson
4. Oakland Raiders - Kevin White, WR, W. Virginia
5. Washington Redskins - Dante Fowler Jnr, EDGE, Florida
6. New York Jets - Marcus Mariota, QB, Oregon
7. Miami Dolphins (Fr. Chicago Bears) - Amari Cooper, WR, Alabama
8. Atlanta Falcons - Randy Gregory, EDGE, Nebraska
9. New York Giants - Alvin 'Bud' Dupree, EDGE, Kentucky.
10. St Louis Rams - Brandon Scherff, OL, Iowa
11. Minnesota Vikings - DeVante Parker, WR, Louisville
12. Cleveland Browns - Danny Shelton, DT, Washington
13. New Orleans Saints - La'el Collins, OL, LSU
14. Chicago Bears (Fr. Miami Dolphins) - Trae Waynes, CB, Michigan State
15. San Francisco 49ers - Jalen Collins, CB, LSU
16. Houston Texans - Todd Gurley, RB, Georgia
17. Cleveland Browns (Fr. San Diego) - Jaelen Strong, WR, Arizona State
18. Kansas City Chiefs - Andrus Peat, OT, Stanford
19. San Diego Chargers (Fr. Cleveland/Buffalo) - Melvin Gordon, RB, Wisconsin

With the 20th pick, the Philadelphia Eagles select Landon Collins, S, Alabama

Having added a couple of FA cornerbacks to bolster their secondary, they have the drafts best safety fall into their laps. Collins may only be a fairly limited SS, but he's very good at what he does well.

Round One
1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Jameis Winston, QB, FSU
2. Tennessee Titans - Leonard Williams, DL, USC
3. Jacksonville Jaguars - Vic Beasley, EDGE, Clemson
4. Oakland Raiders - Kevin White, WR, W. Virginia
5. Washington Redskins - Dante Fowler Jnr, EDGE, Florida
6. New York Jets - Marcus Mariota, QB, Oregon
7. Miami Dolphins (Fr. Chicago Bears) - Amari Cooper, WR, Alabama
8. Atlanta Falcons - Randy Gregory, EDGE, Nebraska
9. New York Giants - Alvin 'Bud' Dupree, EDGE, Kentucky.
10. St Louis Rams - Brandon Scherff, OL, Iowa
11. Minnesota Vikings - DeVante Parker, WR, Louisville
12. Cleveland Browns - Danny Shelton, DT, Washington
13. New Orleans Saints - La'el Collins, OL, LSU
14. Chicago Bears (Fr. Miami Dolphins) - Trae Waynes, CB, Michigan State
15. San Francisco 49ers - Jalen Collins, CB, LSU
16. Houston Texans - Todd Gurley, RB, Georgia
17. Cleveland Browns (Fr. San Diego) - Jaelen Strong, WR, Arizona State
18. Kansas City Chiefs - Andrus Peat, OT, Stanford
19. San Diego Chargers (Fr. Cleveland/Buffalo) - Melvin Gordon, RB, Wisconsin
20. Philadelphia Eagles - Landon Collins, S, Alabama

With the 21st Pick, the Cincinnati Bengals select Malcom Brown, DL, Texas

When I saw Brown still on the board, I jumped on this pick for the Bengals. They are a team that have prided themselves on their DL but Peko, Still and Thompson aren't really then answer to play alongside Geno Atkins. Malcolm Brown, whilst stout, will be disruptive too alongside Atkins.

Round One
1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Jameis Winston, QB, FSU
2. Tennessee Titans - Leonard Williams, DL, USC
3. Jacksonville Jaguars - Vic Beasley, EDGE, Clemson
4. Oakland Raiders - Kevin White, WR, W. Virginia
5. Washington Redskins - Dante Fowler Jnr, EDGE, Florida
6. New York Jets - Marcus Mariota, QB, Oregon
7. Miami Dolphins (Fr. Chicago Bears) - Amari Cooper, WR, Alabama
8. Atlanta Falcons - Randy Gregory, EDGE, Nebraska
9. New York Giants - Alvin 'Bud' Dupree, EDGE, Kentucky.
10. St Louis Rams - Brandon Scherff, OL, Iowa
11. Minnesota Vikings - DeVante Parker, WR, Louisville
12. Cleveland Browns - Danny Shelton, DT, Washington
13. New Orleans Saints - La'el Collins, OL, LSU
14. Chicago Bears (Fr. Miami Dolphins) - Trae Waynes, CB, Michigan State
15. San Francisco 49ers - Jalen Collins, CB, LSU
16. Houston Texans - Todd Gurley, RB, Georgia
17. Cleveland Browns (Fr. San Diego) - Jaelen Strong, WR, Arizona State
18. Kansas City Chiefs - Andrus Peat, OT, Stanford
19. San Diego Chargers (Fr. Cleveland/Buffalo) - Melvin Gordon, RB, Wisconsin
20. Philadelphia Eagles - Landon Collins, S, Alabama
21. Cincinnati Bengals - Malcom Brown, DT, Texas

With the 22nd pick, the Pittsburgh Steelers select Kevin Johnson, CB, Wake Forest.

A run on CBs will keep me awake at nights in the run up to draft.

Round One
1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Jameis Winston, QB, FSU
2. Tennessee Titans - Leonard Williams, DL, USC
3. Jacksonville Jaguars - Vic Beasley, EDGE, Clemson

10. St Louis Rams - Brandon Scherff, OL, Iowa
11. Minnesota Vikings - DeVante Parker, WR, Louisville

19. San Diego Chargers (Fr. Cleveland/Buffalo) - Melvin Gordon, RB, Wisconsin
20. Philadelphia Eagles - Landon Collins, S, Alabama
21. Cincinnati Bengals - Malcom Brown, DT, Texas
22. Pittsburgh Steelers - Kevin Johnson, CB, Wake Forest

With the 23rd pick, the Detroit Lions select Ereck Flowers, OT, Miami

The Lions don't have a formidable run game and have little at RT. I'm not the biggest fan of Flowers but I can see that he could be a beast in the run game, especially alongside Larry Warford.

Round One
1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Jameis Winston, QB, FSU
2. Tennessee Titans - Leonard Williams, DL, USC
3. Jacksonville Jaguars - Vic Beasley, EDGE, Clemson
4. Oakland Raiders - Kevin White, WR, W. Virginia

21. Cincinnati Bengals - Malcom Brown, DT, Texas
22. Pittsburgh Steelers - Kevin Johnson, CB, Wake Forest
23. Detroit Lions - Ereck Flowers, OT, Miami

With the 24th pick, the Arizona Cardinals select Marcus Peters, CB, Washington

This just seems to be a match made in heaven. A team that prides themselves on their aggressive press coverage secondary that lost one Cromartie and playing in a competitive division where defenses rule. Sorry Mayo but I just don't see a better pick for the Cards.

Noooooooo!!!!!!!

Marcus Peters and Patrick Peterson would be sick, though.

I'm really strugling now. If I let Byron Jones fall to the Pats that just seems a little too obvious considering how I feel about him. I tempted to trade up for him but I just don't know who with.

By the way, I really do think the run on CBs will be a thing come draft day.

Hard to tell. When we wanted an EDGE rusher, it seemed like there would be a run on EDGE players. Eli Harold, Shane Ray and Diggy are all still available. I think there's a tendency to focus on whatever position we most want. It will be interesting to see how things eventually play out.

It wouldn't shock me if the depth of the EDGE class factored into BB's calculus that a worthy DB would slip.

Carolina needs OL help or a DE to replace Hardy.

With the 25th pick, the Carolina Panthers select DJ Humphries, OT, Florida

Currently, the Panthers have Michael Oher pencilled in to play LT. Just say no!

So I have a trade for you.

I'm not prepared to wait on Byron Jones, nor do I want him to magically fall into our laps. I could see the Packers in particular be very interested in Jones as could the Cowboys. I believe that Jones is the Chandler Jones of cornerbacks (with some Jamie Collins thrown in). He has the ideal length and athleticism for the position and he's an athletic marvel. I just believe he ticks too many of BBs boxes and so like Chandler Jones, he's a prime trade up candidate. So..

Patriots trade #32, 96 for Ravens #26

I don't know if the Ravens would trade with us but at this stage I don't see them having a pressing need. They could go WR (Permian, DGB, Smith), DT/DE (Armsted, Davis, Goldman) or even TE (Williams). Trading down makes sense for them.

I wouldn't do it, personally. Too much to give up for a player whose measurables exceed his tape.

Let's just say that we disagree on how good Byron Jones' tape is.

With the 26th pick, the New England Patriots select Byron Jones, CB, UConn.

Round One
1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Jameis Winston, QB, FSU
2. Tennessee Titans - Leonard Williams, DL, USC
3. Jacksonville Jaguars - Vic Beasley, EDGE, Clemson

25. Carolina Panthers - DJ Humphries, OT, Florida
26. New England Patriots (Fr. Baltimore) - Byron Jones. CB, UConn

With the 27th pick, the Dallas Cowboys select Shane Ray, EDGE, Missouri

Greg Hardy will miss some significant time and is only signed for one year. Beyond him, Demarcus Lawrence and Jeremy Mincey are decent but not great pass rushers. This is the point in the draft where I think Shane Ray starts becoming valuable.

Round One
1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Jameis Winston, QB, FSU
2. Tennessee Titans - Leonard Williams, DL, USC
3. Jacksonville Jaguars - Vic Beasley, EDGE, Clemson
4. Oakland Raiders - Kevin White, WR, W. Virginia

I'd have been happy with Darby at 32. Or, seeing if Erving, Clemmings or Goldman are there too.
