After his retirement, just saw a piece on TV about the hand-written letters he writes to players he admires after they retire and Troy Brown was included. Here's an online bit as well...

    Classy guy.

    [insert Peyton bashing]

I really don't have a problem with Manning himself. When I root for him to lose, it's more because I enjoy seeing the confused faces of mediots who don't understand how he doesn't win EVERY GAME because he's the GREATEST QB EVER!!!

Same thing with Favre, except I legitimately hate him ;)

I think Peyton has a bunch of these letters all written out, just like the NY Times obituary file. Here are a couple:

    Dear Ty:

Can't say I'm really going to miss seeing you back there.

    Sincerely,

    Peyton

    or,

    Dear Eric:

Dallas Clark is really going to miss you.

    Sincerely,

    Peyton

I wonder if he will read the letters in some new commercial or something.

    Well, if you insist.

I wonder if he wrote a hand written letter to the former University of Tennessee trainer Jamie Ann Naughright for the unfortunate teabagging incident.

Dear Ms. Naughright (you vulgar-mouthed *****)
I'm sincerely sorry for slapping you in the forehead with my testes and naked butt cheeks. Shoot, I just thought it was good fun.

    Hugs and Kisses,
    Peyton.

You're just mad I beat you to it. :snob:

  14. He is basically a dork that plays on a craptacular team. He is a money whore on all of the ads.

That being said, it is a classy act what he did.

And a personalized handwritten letter is much more personal than an email.

I've heard that Manning and Brady are close buddies and in the offseason they often get together and hangout

As much as I try to hate Peyton, he really does seem like a good guy.

I think that is a classy move, and something else that gets overlooked a lot is that he shows up to all of the Pro Bowls that he is elected to. He reasoning is that he has an obligation to the fans to participate. That is a good attitude to have.

Peyton's just relieved he doesn't have to go up against Troy Brown in the secondary anymore. ;)

Seriously, it was fun teasing Colts fans while they had such a friggen huge monkey on their back, unable to win the Big One - but now that they have, the whole "rivalry" means a lot less to me.

His visa commercials are pretty damn funny - and the SNL skit of his work with the United Way pretty much won me over.

Mangini's lucky he never coached for the Colts.

He was a douche but maybe winning the championship has made him a lot classier and laid back. He used to be a huge tool though.

I don't have a problem with Manning. Seems like a good guy, although that'll never stop me from adamantly rooting against him.

PM is classy, just ask any of his teammates after a playoff loss.
