Jordan probably blew a couple of million dollars betting that LeBron would go to the Bulls.

What Jordan said was absolutely true. He never would've sought out a guy who won a ring by dragging his teammates to victory and defected to his team. Lebron has relinquished any right to be mentioned amongst the greatest of all time in this move. He's not a competitor or a winner.

I'll say it again, Lebron is a loser. He hasn't learned to win - he hasn't experienced competition at a high-level. He's been treated as a god his entire basketball life. One of the reasons Tiger Woods is so good is b/c his father never let him get ahead of himself. So Tiger played all the junior tournaments, dominated, experienced victory and competition at each level progressively. It made him mentally strong and value winning above all else. I think Lebron lacks that kind of experience, and may never recover.

I just want to go on record - I said I wouldn't want Lebron on the Celtics (if that were somehow possible) months ago. I really just don't think this guy is as good a basketball player as he thinks he is.

Well, I never took it that far. But I'd rather have Rondo to build my team around than Lebron. If you're going to have a player who is only an asset moving towards the basket, you're better off having it be a 1 than a 3. Especially a selfish, show-boating 3 who has yet to learn to make his teammates better.

I think people are starting to realize the fundamental holes in Lebron's game. Ironically, Miami has paired him with a 2 guard who attacks the same areas of the court he does. We'll see how that works out. One or both of those guys is going to have to improve their outside shooting.

I think what has held LeBron back is his intelligence on the court. He doesn't seem to have what Kobe has, what Magic and MJ had. His feathers get easily ruffled when teams have time to draw up opposition to what he does.

He either at that point needs to raise his game up (but he doesn't shoot well enough) or he needs to make his teamates better (he does not know how). Wade has the smarts to do it ... if Lebron goes along for the ride he will win a ring ... if he wants to be his old self ... well he won't win anything. If he plays the James Worthy role or the Kevin McHale role down low ... he'll be fine. If he want to be MJ, Kobe or Bird forget about it ... it won't happen.

Over the past few years, LeBron has sunk more game winning three point shots than Kobe Bryant has. Take that how you want it. But I would much rather have him that a guy who is a good ball handler but can't hit a free throw or a wide open shot to save his life. In Game 7, Rondo was almost a liability for the Celtics because the Lakers were leaving him WIDE open on the floor and dared him to beat them by sinking a shot. Aside from what was a miracle three by the time the game was already over, he couldn't do it. Do I even have to bring up his free throw shooting?

To bring up fundamental flaws in LeBron's game while ignoring the GAPING holes in Rondo's does not make sense to me. By the way, Dwyane Wade is a much better three point shooter than he was a few years back.

I've said from day one that this needs to be Wade's team.

I am not sure that ever happens...Lebron is a prima donna and while Wade may be the best choice to lead the team I don't believe he will be able to set aside his ego to let that happen.

believe what you want. before he signed with the heat you would have said the same thing. you have zero credibility on the lebron issue. hes on the heat now and you dont care what he says does or did as long as hes on the heat.

Before he was on the Heat, I was saying that I would have rather had a great supporting cast around Wade and Bosh than have signed him. Look it up. Since then I've said that this needs to be Wade's team and not LeBron's. Look that up. However, with all the red herrings you just threw out aside, saying that you would rather have Paul Pierce right now than LeBron James is pretty much as big of a bold faced lie as it gets. Not to mention completely ridiculous. Sorry, I just don't believe you.

True...but it can backfire against them when it matters most especially if King James can't keep a cool head and let Wade take charge when they need it.

This is why Spoelstra already has a short leash. If this happens, I believe Riley will be stepping back in a lot quicker than he did before when SVG was running the team into the ground in spite of all the talent. But if the biggest problem this team will have is knowing who to take charge and when to let them do it, then I'll take that any day of the week.

That wouldn't be the only problem, the egos, the whining, the scrutiny will follow the power struggle and that will do more damage than James not deferring to Wade.

Maybe you saw something different, but I didn't see any of those issues during the Olympics. I saw Team USA working together as a TEAM for the first time in years.

Yup .... no question ... if lebron sees that then Heat fans will be happy.

I've been saying for a few years that Lebron should concentrate on being a SF or PF depending on the matchup that game. When he brings the ball up the floor his team plays stagnant. On a lesser scale this is what Antoine Walker did as a Celtic ... when he had the ball there was not enough movement. Of course Antoine was not at Lebrons level.

That isn't the same when pride and humiliation and redemption was at stake...with the Heat it is an entirely different situation.

I am extremely skeptical of Lebron until he plays in the playoffs and I see him clearly deferring to the real leader of the team...

How is it different? With all of the media buzz, pride and humiliation ARE at stake. By the way, according to Jordan, Allen, Garnett, and Pierce are all losers. They couldn't win the big one by themselves until they all formed a Big 3. But does that apply to the Celtics as well or just the Heat?
