The Sox have a 170 mill payroll. The rays have a 50 mill payroll. The Rays own the Sox this year and last for that matter. Obviously, the Sox have a better team on paper. Please explain why the Rays make us look so bad. I've watched every game this year. Maddon is smart and aggressive. He uses the shift to eff with our batters heads. He uses hit and runs, aggressive base stealing, timely bunting and pitching changes. The guy is a mastermind. Francoma is a coddling turd who has turned this team into a bunch of friggin wimps.
Scutaro was NOT a bad signing and no way should be mentioned alongside Lackey, Lugo, or Gagne. And JD Drew isn't the best OF in the league but he has been fine over the long term length of the contract. Probably a little overpaid but he has had good defense and OBP while here.i dont think tito is the guy to fire. its theo. man i hope he does go to chicago. jd drew lackey scutarow dice k lugo rentawreck gagne , i know im missing somebody. all theos signings.
scutaro stinks. hes another in a long line of ss signings by theo that blow. hes got no range. hes a good bench player not a starting ss on the boston redsox. the best thing you can say about drew is he was ok. not what your looking for from your rf imo. he certainly wasn't a good signing. like you said hes over paid. you don't want your gm[theo] dumping that kind of contract on a serviceable OF.Scutaro was NOT a bad signing and no way should be mentioned alongside Lackey, Lugo, or Gagne. How spoiled we are in New England that being 18 games above .500 and tied for the Wild Card with 2 games to go is considered a "debacle". The residents of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, would do anything for such a "debacle" to strike their team.Someone has got to take the fall for this debacle of a season and this roster of overpaid, under performing ****ies. And I suspect it will be Tito.
Funny, I can't seem to recall them shelling out 180 million for the privilege of being 5-20 in September. How spoiled we are in New England that being 18 games above .500 and tied for the Wild Card with 2 games to go is considered a "debacle". There I said it. I would have posted on my original thread, but...
Maddon has done way more with way less. 1/3 the payroll of the boy blunder, Theo, and the guy continues to produce. Sox are done. 4 game sweep underway. Francoma has given us a team of total ****ies. Disgusting.
Injuries and management aside Wolfpack, a team that is in the position to spend considerably more than most of their competitors and bookends the season with 2-10 and 5-20 needs questions asked of the roster, coaching and administration. How spoiled we are in New England that being 18 games above .500 and tied for the Wild Card with 2 games to go is considered a "debacle".
