    $3.17 for me thanks to the environmental nitwits who make gas in CA more expensive than everywhere else. Or more expensive than it needs to be anyway.

    About $6 here in London. (91.9 pence per litre, $1.79=£1).

    Yeah but that's apples and oranges because so much of your gas price is tax.

    Yes, but that IS still what we pay. We pay more for most goods, as you will know. We have comparable median incomes; from the US census site: $40,668 per male in 2003, $41,700 per person in the UK for 2005 (source: UK statistics office).

    Right, it's just that the excessive taxes pay for nationalized health care, etc, I think anyway, so while it's what you pay it's not good for comparison's sake. $6 a gallon is a lot although I pay $450 in health insurance a month, so . . .

    It is about $3.98 here in Southern RI, don't take as many drives as I used to.
