What Went Right:
-- Turnovers were among the storylines of the Redskins' first two preseason games. Problem solved. The Redskins did not turn the ball over once against the Patriots. Of course, losing 41-0 indicates other problems need to be addressed.

More good news . . .

* the Skins did not miss an extra point

* the Skins did not miss a FG either {blocked, but not missed}

* due to the Skins exceptional play, future HOFer Tom Brady was pulled
earlier than his scheduled end of the 3rd quarter

* finally, the quality of the Skins play took the home crowd out of the game
in the 4th quarter

Hey, Chick - glad you liked that. I must, however, admit - - I stole that from the anchordesk jockey at Comcast Sports TV down here in DC as he was rolling tape of the "highlights" last night.

I taped the game (sorry folks, my only copy) and the Riggo-Mike Patrick verbiage during the game is Emmy material.

I had to laugh last night. Late in the 4th Quarter one of the announcers said "This is preseason Washington may be just sandbagging." Yeah, that's it. :rofl:

Could we please refrain from being humorous on this messageboard. Laughter, smililng, snickering, etc. will not be tolerated, no matter what may occur to cause the smile or snicker, or unusual noises or sounds, to be emitted from anyone's face, mouth, or other areas of their body.

We must continue to give 100% attention to the matter at hand, football, and, therefore, any other friviolities must be accomplished at another location, perhaps the Jets messageboard, where a lot of comical things, strange happenings, and a lot of loud and unusual noises, mostly the passing of gas, will take place this season.

Thank you all, for yor cooperation in this matter. :nono:

Yeah, but according to Borges today, "the Jets know how to treat their long-time players".

Shmessy agrees. they are the kindest losers in the NFL.
