That totally depends on how free agency goes and who is on the board at #23.

How do we feel about taking Pettigrew if Tyson Jackson or Alphonso Smith are available? On the other hand, how do we feel about Pettigrew if the best defensive options are Larry English or Sean Smith. Probably a different reaction.

What is Cassel is traded? Do we get an early-mid 1st, or something else? Have we already drafted a major defensive prospect by #23? What if Brian Dawkins is signed? Or Julius Peppers? Or Sean Jones? Or LJ Smith? How that that effect the perception of team needs at draft time?

The way I see it, if I were told that BRandon Pettigrew were drafted by the Pats at #23, I'd assume something very good happened this offseason.
