After over a decade since I watched the Pats play in Minneapolis, I finally get to watch them live again.

The wife and I are making the trek from Winnipeg for the AFCC. I can't be more excited. Tickets weren't cheap, but hey how often do you get to see your favorite team at 17-0 looking to go to the superbowl.

Looking forward to cheering with the home crowd!!!

just travel down interstate 93, take the exit onto 95 south and eventually route 1 will be an exit (take it) and there will be a lot of traffic :D

you won't have too much trouble

If you stay in Boston (not cheap, but definitely off-peak season), stay around the Back Bay. You can get the Patriots Train from Back Bay Station. That way you don't have to worry about using the rent a car in 10 degrees weatherfor the game, the traffic, directions, etc.

Thanks for the tip. I just booked at the Days in near soldiers field rd. How much will the train run me? How long does it take to get to the field?

Awesome! Thanks. $40 for parking!!! wow!

The only experience I have with parking for NFL games is at the metrodome and still pretty affordable. I guess being downtown helps.

I know people who have taken the train and they tell me it was great! It's a party down...and back. I'm told if you want to have a beer or maybe two..three right there you can.
I have in the next town over from where you're staying. You're best bet is to get over to Harvard Square. If walking from your hotel it's about 20 minutes, If you're renting a car you can park anywhere in the square on a Sunday morning and it's free. Take the subway in the Square (the red line inbound) to South Station. Then you're golden!

Fumbrunner, if you're at the Days Inn on Soldiers Field Road, you are definitely NOT downtown. I believe that's on the Brighton/Newton line. Best thing to do would be to take your rental car from the hotel to the Dedham MBTA Station and then catch the train from there.

It's going to be a bit warm for you down here ... bring sunscreen.. :D
