John Stone changed his number from 18 to 14.

#'s 86 and 88 are still available.

John Stone? When did we sign him?

If he wants to stay true to the number 8 (out of honor for his friend) then he should go for #17, since 1+7=8. Myself, I'd rather he take 88. I hate that recievers can have numbers in the teens now.

Edit:

always liked 88 for WR's.
Me too. *gulp* Lynn Swann was one of my favorites as a kid. *shudder*

#88 makes more sense.

He was signed in January...get with the program....

18's numerological equivalent in Hebrew is "Life," but I'm pretty sure Chad is not Jewish...

Isn't 14 retired?

I don't like it either. Recievers belong in the 80's.

I try to follow the Pats as much as anyone, but was unaware of this signing. Anybody got any info on him? I take it nobody made a very big deal about us bringing him aboard... camp fodder?

I've never heard of him either.

Nevermind it's not. Grogan is in the Pats Hall of Fame but his number isn't retired. Seems to me if you go into the teams hall your number should be retired automatically.

Not a big Deal, so it is not surprising that it went under anyones radar. Wake Forest graduate, UDFA, WR, last caught 3 passes for the Raiders in '04. TC fodder, special teamer most likely. 25 years old.

88 would be a cool number but does he have much of a choice?

Sorry to DP but is my signature showing?

Maybe if Andre Tippett's still alive we could have him come have a talk with him... (Tippett joined the Tribe in the late 80s I believe)
