kinda like I was trying to help out a boy in need. Or how about when I was a kid an older man helped me and it made my world so much better. Or how about George told me to do it.

    http://www.rawstory.com/news/2006/Congressman_accused_of_sending_sick_emails_0928.html

A Congressman has been accused of sending questionable emails to a sixteen-year old Capitol page, RAW STORY has learned.

Reports circulated on the Internet earlier this week, indicating that in private emails, Congressman Mark Foley (R-FL) had requested photographs of the page, asked what he wanted for his birthday, and inquired about his age. The emails may be viewed below.

Foley's office has told ABC News that it is their policy to keep pictures of former interns so that they could be remembered by anyone looking to recommend one. However, ABC also reports that the page did not work in Foley's office.

A subsequent investigation by RAW STORY discovered that the addresses on the emails were indeed those of Foley and a now-seventeen year old boy, who forwarded them to a fellow staffer. There is no overtly sexual communication in Foley's emails, and the age of consent in Washington, DC is sixteen.

Are you kidding..?!? This guy is a homosexual pedophiliac. Getting him out of the GOP - the sooner the better - is only good news.

I am sure there's plenty of room for him in the Massachusetts Congressional delegation though.

With a resignation this quick, with no posturing methinks there is more to this, hopefully there is some type of investigation of this dude... in the end looks like he will need some chapstick and kneepads.

Then you aren't paying attention, while ther are corrupt pubbies as well as dems. The pubbies get rid of the criminals, the dems defend them and help them stay in office. See Torrecelli (who wasn't forced out till he tanked in the polls), Congressman Jefferson, Sen Menendez, Braney Frank....dems close ranks around their crooks. pubbies get rid of theirs.

What it tells me is that there is some seriously humiliating stuff out there he was hoping would go away... And, sure enough, if you go to drudgereport.com or abcnews.com you can read some disgusting transcripts. I only saw the lowlights on the top of drudgereport - I didn't have the stomache to go through them line by line.

Once again a thread that starts out as a non-partisan thread descends into the world of polarizationand attacks on the messenger, there was no criticism of any thing on the right about this..it has to do with a pedophile masquerading as a congressman.

BTW, did you see that he was the chair of the house caucus on missing and exploited children, guess it was easier to find victims this way. Also it is reported this that Dennis Hastert knew about this and did nothing, well it did not go away and if proven...can you spell c_o_n_s_p_i_r_a_c_y.

Some info from his now defunct and erased web site, maybe it was his way of trying to make up for his crimes against children... rotten bastard hope they continue to investigate him and he winds up in some Florida Maximum Security Prison, where justice will finally take place.

As a founder and co-chair of the Congressional Missing and Exploited Children's Caucus, Mark has been instrumental in the development and passage of legislation designed to protect our children.

He authored legislation that became law -- the Volunteers for Children Act -- that gives volunteer organizations that work with children, such as scouting and sports groups, access to FBI fingerprint-based background checks to ensure that they are not inadvertently hiring child molesters.

He has also cosponsored legislation toughening the penalties levied at those who hurt children and, most recently, has joined forces with the Administration and Congress to fight child predators. His Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act, which has passed both the House and Senate, will overhaul the way we track and monitor predatory pedophiles. He has also introduced and cosponsored legislation designed to eliminate child pornography and exploitive child modeling web sites.

Well GJAJ15 if you ever have published a 'non partisan' thread about a dem congressman I stand corrected. My impression is that you only publish threads about pubs who are criminals not dems. If I am wrong please link me to the thread where a dems is identified as a crook?

I am a liberal, without party affilliation, however your assumption is wrong as I believe that the law should be upheld without regard for affiliation. It is coincidental that so many republicans have been caught with their hands in the cookie jar or with their pants down. If you watch my threads I often stay out of the debate discussions, as I do not want to affiliate. IMO the republicans in power have absolutely violated their authority in many areas, and this is only one. I do not support Hillary, Kerry or any of the has been knee jerk liberals.. give me a free thinker any day regardless of party affiliation. FYI I think Lincoln Chaffee is a pretty good senator.

I am a conservative/libetarian with no party affilation. I think there are crooks and creeps in both parties. I think as many dems have been shown to be crooks as pubbies. I find the outrage of leftist to be very selective.

If you review the psot about political corruption on this board, you will find that the libs spin the charges against 'their' crooks, the conservatives will denounce the conservatives crooks and not try to spin their guilt.

The Neo Libs are usually defending these guys, according to them this guy Foley is "NORMAL", the ACLU loves these people, he should go to San Francisco and run for Mayor, if he was a Democrat they could put him on one of their screwball "Sit Coms" he would be a superstar, a household name, every liberal in America would be kissing his a$s.
