If the Pats were keeping the likes of Vinatieri, McGinest, Ted Washington, and so on and so on, then I would agree that they are getting too old. But having these departures that Carter speaks of allows the Pats to get younger by replenshing through the draft and free agency.

Chris Carter is lame and a Patriot Hater. He was part of the reason I stopped watching Inside the NFL on HBO. It was awful between him and Dandy Dan "I Have to Pick the Dolphins" Marino. Carter projects onto the Patriots what he wishes for them not what reality is.
