the jaguars Defense was better at stoping the run, and iam expecting the the chargers to be blitz happy and run into a draw play and have maroney burn them for a TD.

Maroney his the ability to cut back if he runs into the wave of pass rushers. Not to mention little dump off screens that maroney ripped on the jaguars.

Shawn merriman might have the speed to cover maroney on those plays though, but that just means the pats kept merriman from playing his game.

Hope you are right but I think the weather may have something to do with it.
If it is as windy as some say it will be, SD's DBs will be able to play closer to
the line and that will have an effect on well PATs can run the ball.

the WR will still be spread out, lomo gashed the giants when the played close to the line he can gash the chargers also.

the first time the chargers played the pats i dont think the saw the lomo train in action.

They had a partial view.

NE didn't run Maroney a lot early, but gave him the ball in the second half, and he did in fact gash their defense a few different times. For those who don't remember, he finished the game with 15 carries for 77 yards, and a 5.1 ypc avg.

He looks healthier now (at the time he was still recovering from the shoulder), and he's been running very strong over the past 6-7 games.
