    From PFT:

Get over it Mike. If it was the Colts instead of the Patriots, that would be the same reaction from much of the media.

Florio is riding high on the hog right now, but the wheel of fortune has a way of turning. He is drawing alot of attention to himself, and the microscope will focus on him shortly.

I like how Florio says "those examples are extreme" and then proceeds (ignoring the fact that, yes, those examples are ridiculous) to call comparing murder to stealing signals a "logical application" and proposes that Jaws holds the same attitude towards people killing each other as he does to teams spying on each other's practices in sports. Florio has his high points and his low points, but that post is definitely a low point... I mean, what the hell?

Florio also loses credibility in my eyes simply because he's never played nor coached (nor even worked in an official capacity, nor covered in any official capacity) in the NFL at all. All he has are vast multitudes of unnamed sources which tell him things like "Terry Bradshaw is dead." There are certain things I trust internet writers on (because they tend to be intelligent, something ex-NFL players rarely are, though Ron Jaworski is a notable exception), and certain things I'll trust ex-NFLers on.

This is how the talking heads will keeps this story alive, every time someone who knows what they are talking about and comes clean and says yeah this is something that goes on and I've done it, it's common practice they're going to act like they just admitted they are serial killers or something so they can ignore the message and keep talking about spygate.

Last time I checked murder was a fellony. What the Pats did isn't even legally a crime.

A better example to videotaping signals is "every goes faster than the speed limit" or "every lies about how much they donate for their taxes". No one is standing on the highway trying to stop people from going 75 when the speed limit is 65. No one looks down on you if you say you went 40 in a 35 MPH zone.

I have no problem with that. If we're crucifying the Pats, lets open up the whole damn thing. Is the media trying to purify the game or find someone to hate now? You tell me.

Honestly, what Florio wrote about Jaws was truly pathetic. I've gone from thinking Florio is just an attention-whoring troll to believing he is a sociopath. Why does he has to defame anyone who disagrees with him? Comparing STEALING SIGNALS to TAKING ANOTHER PERSON'S LIFE??

Florio's a joke. Who does he think we'll trust on this issue? A guy who played the game and remains a highly-respected analyst or Florio? Who the hell is Florio anyway?

Don't forget that nutjob senator comparing the destruction of the game day tapes to the destroying of the CIA tapes

I think there's a massive loss of common sense going on in America.

If more of these a-holes were truly concerned with murderers who get off and protecting the children who lose their fathers to actual criminal behavior here and abroad, and a little less concerned with the NFL's longstanding documented lack of soul, the world would be a better place, for sure.

Mike acts like a kid who just found out there really never was a Santa Claus. This is what happens when mediots and fanboy lawyer mediot wannabes dig too deep into something they only ever watched from afar and never ever really remotely understood.

Florio's been off the deep end for a while now. That Walsh quote about not having a conscience because of the people he worked with and what they made him do, are completely OVER THE TOP. Unless the Pats had Walsh killing people...

Hey maybe the Pats know where Whitey Bulger is.

This is the best thing that happened to the Pats. Just think of the motivational speech Belichick is giving the team with all this crap and veteran players from those past Superbowls.

I am sure going to be happy when this day is over. I have never seen this level of bul^^it on TV, in print, on radio. They praise the Patriots and talk of destiny BUT "is their season tainted by (Wilbon)" or "is it fair that they have so many good players" (Shine)

I made a conscious decision to leave the radio and TV off until 5:30 today and read a book. Of course, I changed my mind an signed on to patsfans.com so at least I could find some informed (if somewhat biased) commentary and analysis. Thanks to the webmasters for a great product!

Florio unmasked: Florio is a lifelong Pittsburgh Steeler fan. He lives in West Virginia, like many Steeler fans, and maintains his allegiance on the QT so as not to compromise the supposed objectivity of his website. He is currently cultivating a high level source with the NYJ. Florio is attempting to impact the outcome of this SB as much as an internet hack can. He believes by stoking this furor he may affect the Patriots' mindset and preparation, possibly contributing to a loss. The idea that the Steelers were deprived of 2 Sb appearances by the Pats has bent his brain. Posting his rants on this forum would be like posting rants from a Steeler/Jet fan site. They should be moved immediately to the "Visitor's lockerroom" to die the slow death of the unseen.

If Florio is ok with writing articles based upon nothing but rumors, then why can't Jaworski be ok with video taping espionage?

Florio acts all high & mighty, but HE is one of those pushing this non-story to the forefront beyond belief.

Can we all stop & pause, take a deep breath and admit nothing has been written so far. THERE IS NO STORY! If our society is now willing to accept newspapers and electronic media publishing & broadcasting rumors as if they had any base of truth, we are finished!

I once sat down and had a conversation with Big Foot & Elvis at the same time! Go print that! Hell, I see no difference in my story and the Rams video story....end of story.

Or you could use extremes in the opposite way Florio does. It's like everybody goes 5-10 miles over the speed limit and the Pats get busted for going four miles over so the penalty was 10 years in jail and 750000$ Then someone says they were in the car with the Pats when they were going 6 miles over the limit and people want the death penalty w/out proof. Calling the Patriots cheaters for this is the equivalent of calling this speeding driver a criminal!
