I think Dan was ready to cry!
Remember that well.. Quayle was a true piece of work.. fade into nothingness..
I wish I could find the clip of when Bush intoduced Quayle as his running mate. Quayle was running around the stage like a game show host and hugging Bush like a little kid. It was hilarious from the start
Or the moment when Vice President Gore was in the White House and pointed to a statue and asked "Who's that" and the lady said "That's George Washington, the first Prsident of the United States of America Mr. Vice President," Yeah that was funny too.
If Rove had advised him, he would probably be President, but he'll always be Mr. Potatoe Head to me.
Where did you hear that? I Googled it, but can't find anything on it.
I've tried to get the video but every time I tried to search for it I get blocked. Welcome to China. Anyway, it's a video in 1992 when Bill and Al get into the oval office and in one of the rooms they have the head statues of the most promident presidents. Anyway Mr. Vice President looks at one of the head staues and says "Who's that" and the lady who's giving them the tour says, " That's Mr.Washington sir." And I'm not shi!!ing you. I'm just in a country with limited amount of Internet. But I have my memory.
That sounds rather suspect, I am not a Gore fan.. but this looks like another urban myth thing, kinda like the stuff that was allegedly in the "reagan diaries".. Gore is a lot of things, but he is not stupid.
Fine, don't believe it, do some of your own homework. Maybe go ASK.com, GOOGLE.com, YAHOO.COM, I tell ya I saw the video with my own eyes in 1992. I'll give my soul and my families.
I'm not doubting you, it's just that I never heard that story. The only thing I found on it was someone in blog saying that Gore didn't recognize a statue of Washington at Mt. Vernon. Maybe it's the same story.
It's fun and sh!t and gigles to write and research anything you want if you don't have the government watching you. For me it isn't. But to most of you I'm just another shmuck.
No, it really happened... of course, it never got any airtime on the MSM... but this was when Rush Limbaugh had his own TV show and that clip was played over and over on his show...
It's funny, after a Republican debate in which they got some good one liners in, on MSNBC they were criticizing the "pre planned one liners" and lamenting the lack of off the cuff creativity - that was a few days after they had a Democrat leader on talking about how the Bentson line referred to here was planned out and Bentson just had to wait for Quayle to reference Kennedy.
Can I play caption this?
"Watch out or I'll form a committee and conduct an investigation."
Did all that + also checked snopes, does not show up.. not that I do not believe you, but have a very difficult time believing that this could have occurred.. Just because Rush had a clip does not help anyone's cause.. also do not believe that the MSM or the Most influential media(right wing) would not allow this to be pounded continually into someone's brain. It makes no sense for this not to have been shown night and day just about everywhere.. as far as the Bentsen clip goes it was during a VP debate, so blaming the MSM for this is a poor excuse. I remember watching this debate and this specific moment, it was a classic.
Those were good times, but remember this zinger??
