Hokies' Worilds not looking back | Richmond Times-Dispatch
Then there were the visits. He was in Blacksburg one morning, Denver at night, New England the next day. He also visited the Jets, Eagles, Bills and Dolphins. "A lot of jet lag," he said. In Blacksburg, he did individual workouts with the Patriots (as an outside linebacker) and Jaguars (as an end).

Re: Updated: 4/12/2010 (149 total prospects)

Finally the night before the draft the first Dunlap whisper! I think Patsfan55 and I are the only ones who care.
I care. **shudder** :ugh:

Airborne Best has better landing in sight - NFL - Yahoo! Sports
[Jahvid] Best had visits with the New York Jets, San Diego Chargers, Cleveland Browns and New England Patriots, and isn’t expected to last beyond the early part of the second round.
Curse it, that makes 32 visits reported, blasted reporters need to be clear when they write this stuff up.

Re: Updated: 4/12/2010 (149 total prospects)

Mathews likes his chances with Chargers - Football - fresnobee.com
Other NFL teams that appear to have a noticeable need at running back but did not bring in Mathews for an on-site interview are: the Detroit Lions (Nos. 2 and 34), Seattle Seahawks (Nos. 6 and 14), Houston Texans (No. 20) and New England Patriots (Nos. 22 and 44).
This article disputes the reported Mathews visit, that would seem to knock our list back to 31.

Re: Updated: 4/12/2010 (149 total prospects)

Post surgery? He was more than likely an official visit for the medical evaluation.

Between medical evals and getting inside their heads with film study/personal interaction assessment you can pretty much match each of the 31 to one of those two categories. Assign an "M" for medical eval and "H" for knowledge/personality eval and see how you grade them. Some will fall in both, rank it it in order of importance just to see how it looks.

1. Tim Tebow -
2. Montario Hardesty -
3. Ryan Matthews -
4. Brian Price -
5. Dan Williams -
6. Jerry Hughes -
7. Kurt Coleman -
8. Daniel Te'o-Nesheim -
9. Corey Wootton -
10. Brandon Graham -
11. Dez Bryant -
12. Kyle Wilson -

17. Chris McCoy -

20. Arrelious Benn -
21. Donald Butler -
22. Jamar Chaney -
23. Sergio Kindle -
24. Jason Worilds -
25. Hall Davis -
26. Chris Campbell -
27. O'Brien Schofield -
28. Charles Scott -
29. Andre Neblitt -
30. Alex Joseph -
31. Brandon Deadrick -

So then this is the first time a first round pick didn't make an "official visit?"

Re: Updated: 4/12/2010 (149 total prospects)

One player who did visit was Gronkowski - he says so himself in his interview with Primetime right after he was drafted.

It's amazing how much info the Pats manage to keep secret.
