Re: Updated: 4/9/2010

Chris thinks that it was a meeting at the Combine, so I'll stick an "I" next to his name.

Re: Updated: 4/9/2010

Is Decker's an official visit or on-Campus?

Chris McCoy coming in for a visit next week by the way. DE/OLB from Mid. Tennessee State. Nice size at 6'3" 261lbs.
Do we have a link on the McCoy visit?

There's a certain logic to looking at injured players like Decker or last season's Brandon Tate:
1. They come at a discount to their actual college production.
2. They are the equivalent of rolling a pick forward into the next draft class.

Besides Decker, Schofield is another injured prospect who was looking good before his knee injury at the Senior Bowl. Whom else might NE take an interest in?

The tricky part with Decker is that part of his value is his "readiness," skill-wise -- he's one of the best route runners, etc. But you have to subtract a lot of "readiness" points if he's not even ready to set foot on a field. :( Very curious to hear reports of his look-see in Indianapolis.

JG-TC.com > Sports > EIU's Campbell emerging as NFL draft possibility
Chris Campbell, an offensive tackle usually overshadowed during his Eastern Illinois football career, now appears to be the Panthers’ best pro prospect come NFL draft time in two weeks.

The 6-foot-5, 328-pounder just got back from a workout with the Seattle Seahawks and has similar meetings planned with the Philadelphia Eagles, Atlanta Falcons and New England Patriots.

QB Rusty Smith to work out...

FAU QB Rusty Smith to work out for Patriots

Former FAU quarterback Rusty Smith learned Friday morning that the small hole he had in his Saturday schedule will be filled by a workout for the New England Patriots.

Representatives from the Patriots, including head coach Bill Belichick, will be in Jacksonville to put Smith through his paces less than 24 hours before Smith get married.

Re: QB Rusty Smith to work out...

Interesting... Carlos Dunlap is no where on that list, breaks my heart.

Link? Not that I doubt you in the least, but I want to see for myself and savor all the details. I love this kid.

I'm merely exercising an opinion, I don't think we've had any contact with him bar a Combine Interview (which we'll have had with everyone taking part there).

You gotta love an athletic, versatile O-lineman though. He reminds me of Damian Woody.
