So when Bill did it, it is cool because he is a Democrat, but is was wrong for Rush to do it, because he is a Republican. Gotcha!

Prince Messiah does not like anybody criticizing him be it his smoking, his speeches or his Mickey Mouse Ears.

Limbaugh has struck a nerve and Messiah fell for it, Messiah is now making Rush Limbaugh a world wide celebrity.

Not all Americans gush, fawn, slobber, faint, wet themselves, and have leg convulsions when President Jug Ears enters the room.

    FREEDOM
    DICTATORS HATE IT.

It's no accident that Rush is only the letter "B" away from being closely linked to our last failed president.

Try one last time.. Rush got a deferment because he was a fortunate or favorite son.. medical deferments were for those who the "special folks" and "folks of privilege"...

Clinton got the same deferment that Cheney and I got, because we were in college.. then came the lottery.. and there were no more student deferments.

It is not that complicated, Rush got what he got because he was from a family of wealth and influence in Missouri, he got out of the draft because of a pylonidal cyst?? During 1968 they wre taking just about anyone who could crawl.. except the favorite sons.. You do not want to understand any of this.. it is reality.. check the history or just trust someone who witnessed it.

They both played the system.. Rush got it because he was a favorite son.. clinton, Cheney and I got it because we were in school.. we were not draft dodgers.. even though I was never sure as to what I would have done if I was drafted.. you will never understand, so why try.. your mind is made up.

Enough feeding the trolls, have fun all by yourself.. a little auto eroticism might help get you through this rainy cold day.

That's the more interesting point imo,and the point I was trying to make before. It's not about RL it's about Obama's reaction to the whole thing. "Don't listen to RL"? First off Obama's preaching to the choir anyway but he's the first (I think?) president to tell people who to listen to and who not to listen to. Obama's reaction was unexpected;many figured he'd just sort of rise above that, not be bothered to even comment on it.

Yeah well, I doubt Nick Kazur or any of those other millions will ever be President, for good reason. And RL would become a clown if he tried. DOH! Sorry, he already IS a clown! I shoulda said BIGGER clown.

Huh? Clinton had 3 or 4 failed messages and a drug addiction? Granted, he misbehaved badly, but he was astute and a successful if not memorable president (in a positive sense).

No one that has been elected president isn't a favorite son. Maybe Obama, I'll give him that. And Rush getting crushed would depend on where he ran.

I don't see what the big deal is about what Rush said. So he wants him to fail? If you listen to the clip, he says that he wants him to fail because he doesn't want socialist policies enacted. Sounds like a legitimate complaint to me. I don't listen to his show, I think he's a pompous, know-it-all, line-toting jackoff. But what he said shouldn't be appalling it's a political opinion. The fact that some in the media are making a big deal about it proves how biased they are. What happened to be patriotic with dissent?

Yea I did and I am proud of it, wish I would have done more than I actually did.. not all of us are lemmings... the problem usually becomes that people try to apply a standard of today, to what happened a while ago.. some of us do believe that dissent can be patriotic, particularly in times with there was a draft that favored rich folks and their "Fortunate Sons".. when the majority of folks drafted were poor and the majority of soldiers on the front line who died were all poor also. That war went no where, based on false intelligence, hysteria and all the rest.. sound familiar. Had quite a few friends die over there, and a few came back shells of themselves..

You sound like another right wing judger, little information, lots of assumptions.. but able to make a judgement about a person and his character.

Fortunate son or favorite son usually refers to a person who is from a family of wealth, power and influence.. Clinton does not fit that bill.. he morphed into a powerful person, but not because of his lineage. See Bush et al.

Rush would get crushed as he has too many skeletons in his closet, his addictions, multiple marriages.. and other proclivities that have been hinted at. His involvement in all those RW groups, would create ethics issues all over the place.

They don't want to hear this one Farmy, it makes to much sense, if Obama try's to go Socialist there are millions of Americans who would want him to fail just as the Far Left Democrats and all the Liberal Bush Haters wanted Bush to fail.

NOBODY WANTED A PRESIDENT TO FAIL MORE THAN THE NY TIMES, NBC AND JON STEWART WANTED BUSH TO FAIL.

I don't think you can look at student deferments as any sort of dodging. That war went on forever. If you were a deferee in '68 then you were an officer candidate or at the least a draftee of above average education in '72. That's not a bad thing for the military. They're not likely to have a problem with something that increases the pool of potential officers or increases the average education level of the enlisted men.

Sure if you coupled a student deferment to something else maybe, but its long since been time to move on from judging. Except for how my dad dodged the Army. He waited until the MP's were ready to drag him off and then went down to the Marine Corps' recruitment hall. He got to give the people who chased him out of college the one-fingered salute and kept his honor completely intact. I'd say its the coolest thing he's ever done, and that btw includes siring me;)
