why didn't you run and post this little item?

    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15042299/

loved the part about how Lamont wins on one item and one item only among likely voters, the War in Iraq. As I stated he is a one trick pony that pandered to the Democratic base, too bad when you run for Senator you represent everyone in the state not just the base.

That article doesn't talk about any dead American soldiers, that's why he didn't post it.

I think that race is hilarious. Nothing like party politics. Gotta love it! Lieberman was once a Dem darling, now he's a thorn in their arse. HA! Too funny.

    Excerpt:

    High favorability rating
The Quinnipiac poll showed that Lieberman has higher favorability ratings among likely voters, 51 percent to Lamont's 31 percent. While Lamont has slightly higher favorability numbers among Democrats (47 percent to 43 percent), Lieberman far outdistances his challenger among likely Republican and unaffiliated voters.

Seventy percent of Republicans view Lieberman favorably compared to 12 percent for Lamont, and 48 percent of independent voters view Lieberman favorably compared to 30 percent for Lamont.

Unaffiliated voters outnumber Democrats and Republicans in the state.

Those are some rough numbers for Lamont.

I am formally inviting all of you that have posted on this subject, in this thread, to come back here and post again after the elections in CT and explain as to why Lieberman did not win.

Have you ever noticed that some liberals rally look like liberals, they have a Goofy Look, they are pasty faced, and they constantly GRIN.

Their perpetual grin is to "make believe" that they are right and you are wrong and they try to give the impression that "nothing bothers them"

If a Muslim Terrorists were carving Lamonts head off with a dull butcher knife, "Lamont Would Be Grinning" :D

If it were up to me, or if I had a vote, I'd probably vote for Lieberman as I would never vote for an ultra liberal like Lamont. Thing is, I don't have a vote as I do not live in Conneticutt. Ten points with 6 weeks to go is not favorable, but it's not insurmountable either. The problem I see for Lamont is the favorability figures. He's well behind there. That is not good.

Count me in for one military absentee ballot Lieberman vote.

Lamont only wins if he gets the revolutionary war soldier vote

(the traditional Democrat party voting block........ the graveyard).

I'm sure both Lamont and Gore will be working hard to make sure that your vote doesn't get counted!

Illegal Aliens, felons, yes come on down and vote early and often!!

A US soilder, we can't have them voting.

Seriously Lieberman is a decent and honorable man, I've said that even when he was running with ALGore, to have the Democrat party turn it's collective back on him, is an horrific harbinger for the future of the DNC.

Lieberman is a sell-out and certainly not a decent and honorable man.
Even if the Dems were to lose, the house cleaning is a positive step.
I'd rather "lose" with dignity than "win" the Delay and Rove way.

bingo, no one but the democratic base likes Lamont. Problem is Lamont pandered, and continue to do so from the ads I have seen, to the anti-war crowd. There are a whole host of other issues that have polled as more important to CT voters than that one. If he wanted to win he needed the independents and he isn't getting them.

As a matter of fact, I have met him, which by the way has nothing to do with the subject matter. One doesn't have to live in CT to know about Lieberman. I will bet you though that there are quite a few CT residents who do not know the first thing about the man.
I have also met Reagan, Gore, both Clintons, GWB, his Dad and Jeb, in person.
What would you suggest that means?

Meeting them means virtually nothing. Knowing them personally maybe would. Lieberman is a politician like all others. That he is now an "Independent" is comical. That the DNC disowned him is truly pathetic. Here is a man they thought so highly of in 2000 that they aksed him to be VP, or their #2 man. Now they dissed him to the curb. HA! I love politics!
