Who Hates the Other More -- Liberals or Conservatives?

We conservatives don't automatically assume the intentions of liberals are bad, just their ideas.

Liberals often don't hold back. They assume the worst about our _intentions_, something I once engaged in but have learned not to do. It's a risky business.

So why dialogue? As an example, the former chairman of the Democratic Party and aspirant for President, Dr. Howard Dean, said the following on a national TV news program: ‚ÄúRepublicans, in contradistinction to our moral values, believe that kids ought to go to bed hungry at night.‚ÄĚ

Maybe he thinks we're marching with this guy: http://www.meltingpotproject.com/.a/6a00e5501bb44a8833011571254330970b-800wi

Conservatives are racist, sexist, and homophobic; they don't care about the poor and don't want kids to have health care. Conservatives think war is the way to solve problems and that it's better to punish criminals than to stop them before they start.

Liberals are sympathetic to terrorists, Marxist, Communist, anti-American. They have no respect for the troops, and are against American values. They are anti-Christian, want to kill babies, and they want to coddle criminals and use taxpayers to give money to lazy people.

I think it's a tossup, but these days conservatives are oversensitive.

    That's funny.

By that logic we need affirmative action for Detroit fans. The best four teams--Patriots, Steelers, Giants, and Eagles (you could come up with others, I'm sure)--should be forced to give up a player or two.

Wouldn't Detroit love a Richard Seymour and Logan Mankins? Affirmative action for Detroit, baby.

I'm sorry, I don't understand. Who cares where it comes from? It's the merits of what's argued, not who's doing it.

This is an all-too-easy out for people. "Oh, I don't like that argument. It's propounded by a guy with red hair."

It's a form of the fallacy of ad hominem.

By your logic, conservatives should be able to dismiss the progressive income tax. Look where it comes from--Communist Manifesto 10 Planks

Communists aren't that bad. They only killed slightly over a hundred million people last century. The Black Book of Communism

The point being, there is no merit. I feel it's the exact opposite. It is conservatives who demonize and ridicule everyone else who doesn't follow their point of view. You yourself have proven to be an example of this (link re: #8 & #14).

i thought it was a BS article. Plain and simple.
My expierience has been to the contrary.
    But, whatever.
Whenever I hear someone use the "N" word, or say hateful things about homosexuals or non-christians, it's a conservative person saying it.Maybe it's different in other places, but that's been my expierience.

When I think liberal, two words come to mind Passive Aggressive. There is nothing I hate more than passive aggressive people. So obviously us conservatives hate better. Sad but true.

I post here in my capacity as a private citizen, and no post or fragment of post I post here is intended in any way to represent the views of the government of the United States or any agency or organ thereof.

    That answer your question?

    Not answering my question again.

Liberals, whose ideology is running high hog these days, are so smug and self-righteous that they don't realize that the methodology they use could just as easily be used against them--dismissing others' arguments based not on the argument but on who is doing the arguing. An age-old fallacy.

In this case Dennis Prager has three indices for arguing that open conservatives face greater persecution than open liberals. And not one time has any liberal answered the three examples.

    Harumph!

Nope. You state the obvious, as no official acronyms accompany your name. But I'll take it as a yes unless you tell me otherwise.

You've had three days to think about this thread and here you are still flogging it? When will it occur to you that cars get keyed by ex girlfriends?

Politics doesn't enter into the equation.

There's anecdotal evidence to the contrary.

One's car is at much more risk, I concur, when it proudly proclaims conservatism instead of liberalism.

I'm not still flogging it, I'm daring liberals to confront Prager's argument.

So far no takers. Why is that?
