The more things change the more they stay the same:

    > Does your rep deserve re-election 50% yes and 44% no.

    > Most members of Congress deserve 35% yes and 62% no

    > Democrats deserve re-election 43% yes and 54% no.

    > Republican deserve re-election 39% yes and 56% no.

So what this all tells me is contrary to what the media is reporting not much will change in Congress anytime soon. Republicans overall are not really favorable to democrats ... just perhaps used as different at times.

The reality is that the view that Congress is a bunch of self serving idiots is born out.. it is becoming more and more obvious that congress is allowing themselves to become irrevelant by their completely out of touch behavior.

I agree with you completely. I see a lot of turnover in Congress this November, from both the left and right side of the isle.

This poll doesn't really say anything, since it doesn't stipulate any alternative to Obama.

What it does show is that anti-incumbent sentiment is running deep right now. All of this is directly tethered to the economy; as the economy improves, so will Obama's prospects (and the prospects of Democrats generally).

Well duh, "it's the economy, stupid." Even republican incumbents are in some danger now...but their prospects will improve with a better economy as well.
