Oh Goddammit, you're right. Let's not look past the Jets to the BILLS.

I guess a better title would have been "Let's not assume we'll easily beat the Jets."

I didn't even think about what the title is actually saying until people mentioned the Bills. Sorry.

Ripping on the Jets is easy and fun. However its going to be a battle Sunday it always is against the Jests.

No need to worry. I think that BB has that one covered.

Let's not look past the Jet's?

well have members that are already looking past the season to the draft ...

Don't look past the Jets, look right through those frauds.

What impressed me the most about the Jets was that run defense. The Ravens could get no movement even when the Jets were playing small ball with their personnel. We need to get a good push from our line because we need the threat of the run for our playaction. Brady is deadly at times with that.

You know, that's sometimes a byproduct of having a lousy passing offense, too. And for the most part last night, the Ravens had that.

I'm sure most of us are still taking the game very seriously, I just hope no one is expecting an easy win for the Pats.

The Jets offense was absolutely terrible but our defense is not on par with that of the Ravens. Let's not assume we will also be able to hold them to 6 first downs. They should be able to move the ball a bit better. The key will be doing what the Ravens did, hold them to FGs.

The Jets D looked fantastic, even after Jenkins went down. It will be a real test for our offense. We'll need great pass protection and great play from our WRs. If they have a chance to make a play, they need to make it. Our RBs will need to pick up some tough yards from time to time. We're not going to average 5 yards per carry but if we need a yard, they need to get it.

I doubt we see 15 penalties from the Jets again so we need to play sound football in all three phases. We can't count on free yards.

It's going to be a really tough test. The Jets know that starting 0-2 with 2 conference and home losses will put them in hole, not to mention start a firestorm from the media and fans. I hope the Pats can get out to a quick start and stay in control of the game. That will go a long way in getting the win.

I agree with it all.

i just hope they stick to what they want to do on offense. i remember last season when the pats went to the meadowlands they pulled that stunt with play cards from the sideline and it clearly showed that the jets talk that week had gotten into the heads and they changed things up to something which they normally dont do.
LT concerns me the most. he has had some good games vs the pats in the past when our Dline was much stronger .he will be the biggest challenge.

Couldn't this thread wait until after Schadenfreude day? Now go get a god damn snack and discuss Sanchez some more

I'm confused. I thought Sanchez was the snack.

That's the beauty of having a coach like Belichick, he doesn't allow his teams to look past the next game. Even the Jets helped make sure tha Pats don't look past them with them shooting their mouth off.

Will be interestin to see how Jets play Pats. Their run D looked great because they had 8 in the box all day and challenged Palmer to beat them, which he did on most occasions. I think this game is the exact reason why we upgraded our TE position. I can see out TE's playing a huge role in this game.

I'm more concerned about our run D. I hope they stack the box and force Sanchize to try to complete a pass. He may occasionally stumble into a completion but I can't imagine him beating them repeatedly. IF THE JETS CAN'T RUN, THE JETS CAN'T WIN.

Those frauds split the season series with us last year and advanced two rounds farther in the playoffs than we did. Let's follow BB's mantra and treat all our opponents with respect, at least until AFTER we beat them! :D

One down at a time.

The Jets trolls must still be in mourning as I expected this thread to pick their jaws off the floor.

The fact is the Jester fans have selective memory. I watched their team get beat in NJ by a Bills team that was dying to hand them the game (much like the Bungles and Colts however this was due to the Bills being.......well the Bills).

Anyway, the drove at will against this "AMAZING" defense. Yawn. Wrecksie the clown apologized to the fans for not making the playoffs shortly thereafter

They ran their mouths early in the season last year, were humiliated and became somewhat humble (or as humble as 'do nothing Jets can be) and then backed into the playoffs. This misconception has caused their fans (and coach) to become delusional trash talking idiots.

I love the way the Pats talk on the field. Just my observation.
